Good. You just can't count on him to be there for the season. He obviously has issues that won't be addressed until he grows up and gets serious about his life and careeer. The team has shown some improvement during his absence. He is a talented player, but not so talented to put up with all the baggage.

I really think not having Tucker on the team will end up being a good thing. I made a post recently asking what Tucker would bring to the team that we don't already have now, except additional depth, and I really didn't get much in response. His stats on the season showed that he didn't really do much besides shoot 3's, and the 31% he made is actually below the team average, so I'm not sure his presence helps our offense, either.

There has also been a lot of criticizm about his defense.

Putting Tucker back in the rotation may have messed with any chemistry this team is starting to find, and I'm not sure that Tucker wouldn't be a cancer to the team. I don't know him personally, but I have to judge by what I've seen and read.

Plus his off the court issues.. We don't need that. I'd rather have the scholly go to someone else who the team can count on.

I wish him well...and I hope we can pick up a PG with the extra scholly for next season.

It's great for Iowa, the players and coaches don't need to baby sit any more. I don't feel for the kid one bit. He has got two years of free education, every chance to play Big 10 BB but has let his selfish ways hinder him. Lick stuck his neck out there for him but Tucker thought he deserved to be playing, I'm glad Lick stuck to his guns and didn't let him back on the court.

I hate to see any kids leave the program, but Tuckers situation is different.I think it would be best for him to get away from Iowa City and find a place maybe closer to his home.As far as Iowa goes I would much rather see Tucker leave now as opposed to have him come back and play a vital role on the team and have to go through this again next year.I hope he can get it togehter for his sake.I hope he gets himself the help he needs and a degree somewhere because that's the bottom line here.

Good for us, bad for him. I just hope the kid learns from his mistakes and can get his life back together. Not sure which way he will go once he leaves Iowa City, I wish him the best.

That's what I think. I don't see how being released from your scholarship could possibly be a good thing for Tucker. Unless some mid-major is willing to take a chance and offer him a scholarship, it looks like Tucker will be paying his own way to get an education. Hopefully things work out for him.

Tucker was a cancer to Iowa's bball team... glad he's gone.

A cancer? Really? Care to ask Matt Gatens about that? What most of you clowns fail to realize is that the four kids that left last year and Tucker are all well liked by the current team.

Just wait in a few weeks when more players announce they are leaving Iowa. I'm sure it will have nothing to do with Coach Lickliter:rolleyes:

Good for Tucker, since that is what he wanted.

It is a push for Iowa, since he never plays anyways. How can it be bad for the team to lose a player who is suspended all the time?

Really dude??? Four last year you can throw on Lick, any of the others leave after season throw on Lick... You can't put AT on Lick.

tucker will be playing basketball on scholarship somewhere. someone out there will offer him a ride.

based on the way AT is, i think the departure is good for both him and the team. however, what's damaging is that AT never showed the attitude that would have made him a great role player at iowa next year. we really need someone to play the bawinkel role (at least the way wink played against northwestern)-- 10-20 minutes/game, make open threes but don't monopolize the ball. i don't think AT was ever going to embrace that and i don't see how there was any other role available to him on this team.

I think it is good for both. Iowa has seemed to play better without him and they are in dire need of another PG.
