A certain percentage of regular folks always lose. The only thing that ever changes are which regular folks lose. Are there any politicians that don't fall into that category?

A couple months ago my mom told me she can't believe I would vote for Trump because he wants to get rid of IVF (and we used it). I told her he says just the opposite of that and she's listening to fear mongering. She said you can't believe him. Today he signed an executive order that helps families who needs IVF.

How do things normally get renamed? Things like streets? Did Trump not follow the correct process in renaming it or something? If something gets renamed properly (if that's the case here) and everyone goes along with the renaming (because why wouldn't you) except one news source, I'd have to question the motives of that news source too. If they can't even call something by its actual name, why would you trust them to report accurately on anything else?

Its one thing to rename a street in downtown Marion, Iowa. It is within the domain of the US.
The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water. Trump's attempt to rename it would have the same lack of international recognition, and ridicule, as announcing he has renamed the Atlantic Ocean.

It would be more like renaming one of the great lakes. America and Canada would be the only countries who cared.
