Trump supporters, how do you square this?

Well for starters this site is about the best there is for finding bias ratings and shines a bright light on what to trust and not trust. It doesn’t filter what you see or don’t see with an algorithm, and aside from the articles it shows it gives people a general sense on what kind of news is reliable. You will see articles from the right, left, and in between, and the best part about it is looking at articles on the same topics that are highly biased, and then seeing how skewed both are. It’s eye opening and not spoon fed from an aggregator like Twitter.

Click the menu button to see tons of information about bias, bias ratings of news sources (most helpful and interesting thing on the site imo) and tons of other info. You want news that’s unfiltered with bias ratings? This is a billion times better than Twitter.
I think I will load this one.

As a Christian and Constitutionalist this election was demoralizing to my core values as a conservative. I do not apologize for being in the Mitt Romney or Liz Chaney camp.

I don’t just vote like it’s a damn sports event and the my team won ha ha crowd.

I also have children and grandchildren to consider how their lives could be affected.

I would put nothing past what this bastard is going to try when his full term ends in four years, especially with the Republican Party being taken hostage by a bunch of radical scumbags which includes many of his supporters and the majority of the Republican congress and some corrupt Supreme Court justices.

What a sad day for our country. I am embarrassed for the Republican Party.
I greatly appreciate this post. My parents were centrists (mom leaned left and dad leaned right). I grew up in central Iowa, and my family was very involved in the church. My parents always voted based on policies and values and they differed at times.

I have leaned left, but more centrist in recent years. I voted for some republicans in local elections this time around.

To me, this is not about left vs right. It's about people having character vs people without empathy. I think some of the folks who were elected with this round of MAGA seem to lack basic empathy towards other humans. To me, this is the essence of evil. I fear what our country is becoming, and how far we will slide.

Forget the incompetence issue (RFK didn't know how medicaid works when asked direct questions about it today). Think about the craven indifference to humanity that these folks display.

I'm shocked that folks who consider themselves to be Christian vote for MAGA folks, especially Trump.

I hope our democracy survives the first two years of this "administration" of chaos. These folks don't even know the constitution. The new press secretary said that she (and Trump) think that birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, even though it is enumerated in the 14th amendment of our Constitution!

As a proud veteran, father, and senior leader in an academic healthcare setting who focuses on caring for the disadvantaged (for 30 years), I hope we can right this ship, and stick together as a country. We don't need to hate our fellow Americans. Oh, and go hawks.

The whole thing is a mess. Just what Trump did with official documents would get anybody else a minimum of five years in prison AND likely up to twenty years. I retired after 29 years from the federal government and I am well aware of the laws regarding all of this.

I fully expected Biden to Pardon his son. I know he said he wouldn’t but the only time a politicians isn’t lying is when their jaw isn’t moving and it doesn’t matter which party you are talking about.
Funny . . . Biden took official documents and what happened? Oh wait a minute they said he’s incapable of answering any questions about it. Now what rabbit holes does that lead us down? For one if Biden is cognitively impaired to the point where he can’t answer simple questions about documents in his garage how can he be the president? Two you can’t leave classified documents in your garage where your drug addicted son who’s literally getting paid by a few different governments that are somewhat hostile to the USA has access to said documents. Trump had the authority to declassify the documents. Biden did not.

Interesting, you call yourself a Christian and then in the next sentence the President is a bastard and some Republicans are scumbags. Doesn't sound very Christian like to me.

A couple of your points make me wonder who you would vote for. You bring up incompetence as an argument against the current administration. So what choice is there? Surely you won’t argue that the Biden administration was competent or that it had a shred of good character. I find that idea beyond mind blowing. Vice President Harris would have been even worse. You say that you’re shocked that anyone who considers themselves a Christian would vote for Trump. I understand why you would think that but again who should a Christian vote for then? Almost all of Biden/Harris policies are contrary to scripture. Let’s take a few steps further. Let’s look at the vice president choices. Are you going to choose Tim Walz or JD Vance when looking for competence or high moral character? I completely understand your opinion that a Christian shouldn’t vote for DJT but I can’t understand how anyone can say that based on the Bible you can’t vote for DJT but voting for Biden/Harris/Walz is perfectly acceptable.

You don’t have to vote for either. Abstaining is participating.

I can sleep at night because I know I didn’t vote for these morons.

When there’s someone who I think aligns with my views in vote for them. The idea that you have to vote for someone no matter what, and just pick the lesser of the two evils is just asinine. Abstaining is participating.

Given Trump’s threats against his “enemies”, I think Biden would have been a damned fool NOT to pardon family members. I would have done the same without regret.
Don't forget that there were threats about going after Trump and his family before he left office and he chose not to pardon them. Also the way Biden picked and choose which family members he needed to pardon and which ones he didn't looks like someone who is handing out pardons based on who committed crimes instead of based on saving his family from someone seeking revenge.

LOL.

That’s like getting a teenager drunk, giving him the keys to a Ferrari, walking away and saying, “Hey you shouldn’t drive that car.”

Jesus dude.
That doesn't even make sense. Do you not understand what I was saying? My point was if Trump wanted them to overthrow the government, they were doing as good of a job as he could have possibly hoped for considering how unarmed they were. So why tell them to go home before the job was finished? Did Trump have a change of heart and decide last minute he didn't want to illegally remain president after all?

I read your text five times trying to figure out how to connect your analogy to what I was saying but finally had to give up. If I was saying Trunp never wanted them to overthrow the government, but made it too inticing for them to resist, and then was surprised when they did try, your analogy would have made sense. But that's not even close to what I was saying.

So if I find a link to that site on Twitter, does it instantly become invalid?

I've seen videos of the terrorists on their phones telling those around them that Trump told them to go home.

Trump is smart enough to not say "bring weapons". Why wouldn't tell them to go home before they went to the capital and forced their way in? He had 187 minutes where he didn't do a damn thing and if he's the commander in chief, doesn't he have full control of the armed forces to do something????
Damn it's a good thing they didn't have cell phones on D Day. If you can take a second to check social media during that crazy battle for the country on Jan 6th, they would have maybe been doing it back then too.

The reason Trump wanted them there is he wanted a massive protest to show his support. You can argue that it was because he really thought the election was stolen and you can argue that it was to stroke his massive ego. Either way, he wanted a giant crowd to show his support. I don't know the exact time-line of that 187 minutes. I assume it ends the minute he put out his video, but when does it start? Was it the minute his rally speech got over? The minute they got to the capitol? The minute the cops shot rubber bullets into the still peaceful crowd? The minute the first punch was thrown? The minute the first window was broken? The minute cops started letting people into the building? The reason I ask is 187 minute seems too long for sure. But it matters when that 187 minutes started. There is also a window between realizing its escalated past the point of acceptable and setting up to record the video he released, recording it, and sending it. 187 minutes is way too big of a window, but there is a window. So I need some context on when that 187 started to fully judge how wrong Trump was for waiting.

As far as him having full control of the armed forces goes. You do know he requested them and got denied right? If they would have just followed through with his request, a riot would have never happened. Imagine if the democrats didn't have that day in their back pocket. I can see why they wanted it so bad.

Wow!!! It sure looks like they had time during that "crazy battle" to relax and check their phones.

Here's how that request went down:

I don't see anything in there about the Democrats telling Trump no.

Here's the replay of the 187 minutes you don't know anything about I guess. It's a good read.

@PCHawk won't read it because it wasn't presented to him via twitter. I'm not joking.

Just like he won't read the link I posted to the USC law on treason and sedition, and just like he won't look at the link I posted about media bias.

He's literally said here multiple times that if it doesn't come through on his twitter feed, he doesn't read it. Twitter is it with him.

If you watch the events of the day and it was broadcast even on Fox News but anyway it was everywhere as it was huge world news - you can easily see that many of these people committed criminal acts and should be in held accountable for what they did to attack their own country's Capitol and the police that protect it. Even the folks that were supporting DJT in his lie fest about his stolen election were running and hiding, scared for their lives. Also on video. So thru the massive amount of video available charges were made for a portion of the rioters and they were tried, convicted and sentenced for their crimes by a jury of their peers. Now the very man that invited them there to stop the lawful counting of electoral votes so he could remain in power unlawfully has now released every single one of these awful people from their sentences. Those that bludgeoned police, those that took their weapons, those that sprayed bear repellent in their faces, those that defecated in and destroyed their very own country's Capitol are now free to do more crimes for their felon leader. I believe 2 have already been arrested or killed committing more crimes in the brief time they've been out I can't and would never support any organization like that ever in my lifetime. If I do lock me us and get rid of me, I'm not any kind of American.

Party of law and order? Party of Criminals lead by a felon. Back the Blue? More like bludgeon the blue. Disgusting and vile in my view.

Yes you could abstain from voting because the character of both candidates is seriously flawed but if you believe one candidate’s policies are significantly better than the other candidate you might want to vote for the candidate based on their policies in spite of their flawed character especially if the other candidate’s policies seem to be absolutely destroying the country. Examples for me would include a wide open border that helps facilitate the trafficking of women and children. Not to mention who knows how many young men who are criminals committing violent crimes and just flat out terrorists looking to harm the USA. Limiting are energy production so inflation rises and we have to depend on other countries for energy. Support for trans surgeries for minors and many other issues.

Interesting, you call yourself a Christian and then in the next sentence the President is a bastard and some Republicans are scumbags. Doesn't sound very Christian like to me.
I don't know based on what I've heard during the campaigning phase and after the election it sounds exactly like what I've been hearing under the "Christian" label. We did after all, just have an elected president selling and endorsing bibles despite while running under a campaign claiming ethical and religious values all while having having rape allegations and convictions, being on a third wife while cheating on the others, and that's not including how he talks about and treats others let alone how many times he's been interjected and photoshopped into religious pictures as some sort of diety. So in my honest opinion, and what I saw this election cycle if Trump can claim to be a Christian, I'm not really sure what sounding very christian like means. But who are we to question anyone else?

I agree with a lot of this and feel it's the exact reason why I take issue with anyone that plays the religious card in a political setting or on the campaign trail. There is no place for religion in politics primarily because, IMO, to be quite honest they're simply not people that I would consider to have the ethics and morals to say they're the candidate that supports wholesomeness or family values. I think I support the stereotype that politicians are closer to crooks then being what i'd consider those that practice what they preach.

The competency argument I find interesting as well. I totally agree that Biden lacked the capacity to run the country for another term, but based on who Trumps chosen to fill his cabinet I think some of these individuals aren't qualified to run a bake sale let alone the country. Which makes me wonder what exactly is going on inside Trumps head and truly question whether he's competent enough to run things either. To be totally honest, I don't think either of them have the mental capacity to be an effective leader, but luckily for us somehow they're the cream of the crop and that's who we got to pick from.
