total bullshit calls

rahaini took 2 to 3 steps after the catch then went down then rolled over before he lost the ball. geezus. thst is a catch. then no targetinh
And on the roll he was trying with his off-hand to get a stronger hold on the catch and knocked the ball out himself.

It was a catch. Replay blew that and the targeting call.

If they can’t get those right then there’s no use for it

How about the horse collar. "The runner was pulled forward". Couldn't find that reference anywhere. The non-grounding call. "#26, an eligible receiver was in the area". When the ball hits the leg of an OL, let's consider "intent", maybe? Another play to Beyer, the DB was grabbing Beyer's Jersey the whole way down the field.

I honestly don't know what was going on. I really hate the thought of officials intentionally "blowing" calls, but...that is the only explanation that makes sense when it keeps happening.

Even after the winning FG, it was like the officials were looking at each other trying to figure out a call to make.

Two other rules that REALLY need eliminated: defenses being able to call a time out up to the very moment of the snap, and offenses being able to have ALL 11 players release from a "set" position and ALL turn to the sidelines for further "signal" from the sideline.

I'm not normally one to rail on the refs too hard when your team has a lot of say in the outcome, but certain games deserve to be bitched about.

For me, this one ranks right up there with the 01/01/06 Outback Bowl and that Iowa/Missouri hoops game in the Guardians Classic from '01.

Pretty horrendous and one-sided. Does make you wonder.. Certain games, something really stinks, and it's not the players jock straps.

But this time: HAWKS WIN. SUCK IT.

The fix was in on this one. Horse Collar tackle, Rigani catch, 15 yard unsportsmen penalty on Marsette...when it should have been offsetting penalties as the Nebraska player punched him first, targeting on Nebraska on Marsette hit should have taken us down to the Nebraska 37 with 13 seconds left. All go against Iowa and benefit Nebraska.

Now...reasons? How much money does the B10 make to have Nebraska at the Tidy Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bowl game in Scranton, New Jersey? TV draw is better because Nebraska fans are freaking delusional and will think it's a New Years Day bowl. Nebraska fans will backup the RVs and go to Saschawan to see another Big Red Football game. Sad...but I believe those were the reasons. It's terrible, but don't kid yourself. Money talks and Nebraska get's alot of people to even these crappy menial bowl games because their fan base is so desperate for anything to talk about in December and January. By the time Nebraska fans are done, the Tidy Toilet Bowl Cleaner Bowl will be on par with the Rose Bowl in Pasadena...maybe better.

Nice progress for Scott Frost and his light speed improvement plan. Four wins in 2018 and five wins in 2019. Amazing stuff.

I hate to say this, but Duncan could/should have been flagged for taunting after the field goal since there was 1 second left on the clock. That is how bad those refs were by not calling it.

No shit. Getting tired of the network's Frost success narrative. They did win nine games. In two years. It's like they had to stick by their predictions that nebby would dominate this year. They are 6/7 in the West Division. It won't get a ton easier for them next year.
