The "totals" don't mean anything Herby. They are points per game numbers, and you can only add them up for an aggregate total if every player played in every game.
For instance, you showed (correctly) that Eric May had a 4.5 ppg average. However, Eric May did not play in all 35 games, he only played in 33 games. So if we wanted to add up the numbers the idiotic way you chose to do it, then we would have to take May's 144 points and divide it not by the 33 games he played (Which will total 4.5), but divide it by the 35 games his team played. This drops the average to 4 ppg (4.02).
Then you have to do that to the 4 other players you listed who did not play in every game.
But of course you knew that, since you're a pretend statistical analyst.
