Those who cut the cable..

I don't follow MLB but I hear so many people complain about the blackouts and problems getting the games not matter what the situation.

YouTubeTV has Fox Sports MIdwest & Midwest Plus. NBC Sports Chicago and Plus, and MLB channel. I would think between those you'd see a fair share of Cubs games, but maybe not. I'm not a huge baseball fan, so I haven't really looked into it. What channel are the Cubs normally on?

Most Cubs game you will be able to catch on YouTubeTV. If it's not on there, then it's typically either on channel 23 (WGN broadcast) or on either 17 or 17.4. I've had really good luck with YouTubeTV. Enjoy it quite a bit.

I tried both PSVue and YOuTubeTV back to back with the Vue first. I like YOuTubeTV better and wifey does to. Really like it actually. I thought I could get by without missing the live local TV but ends up a main part of my decision. So nice just to boot up YouTubeTV and the locals are there.

I still have PSVue as in my first month of paying but will prob end up dropping it.

I really like the Roku Channel! I've been watching the Unsolved Mystery shows which I've always liked.

Damnit I'm so pissed YoutubeTV doesn't work with Fire TV

I'm being lazy by asking this and not researching it on my own, but have you heard whether the goal is to be available in small rural markets eventually, or are they satisfied with the 80/20 rule and getting just the big market populations?

I think the product is exactly what I'm looking for but living where I do it looks like I'll be 80 before that happens.

^^ Fry - Not sure about their plans to expand and where.

Beware to PSVue subscribers. I just got this from PSVue. Crappy since they don't offer any local stations. I can see a lot of people dumping them. It's gone up $20 in a rather short time.

Hi MelroseHawkins,

Thank you subscribing to the Core plan through the Days of Play sale, a monthly price of $34.99* for the first two months of your subscription. We want to let you know that the monthly cost of the Core plan will increase by $5 to $49.99 per month.*

However, as a subscriber through the Days of Play sale, please enjoy an extra month of the Core plan sale price of $34.99 per month* on us. Then, on your subscription renewal date on September 16, 2018, your subscription will renew at the new Core price of $49.99 per month.*

  • This $5 per month pricing increase applies to all PlayStation™Vue multi-channel plans for new subscriptions, plan upgrades, and plan downgrades as of July 24, 2018.
  • If you upgrade or downgrade prior to July 24, the new plan price will take effect on your next subscription renewal date after August 31, 2018.
  • Pricing updates will be reflected in your subscription renewal information at psvue.com/subscription (and in Manage Subscription in the PS Vue app on PlayStation® consoles) starting September 1, 2018.

Yep, I just got this as well. If they had all local channels, it might be ok, but the Des Moines markets still only have CBS. Maybe I'll try out YoutubeTV for $10 less a month.

I am thinking about cutting Netflix off after Last Chance U runs through its new season at the end of this month.

There is very little I miss on TV other than the Hawkeye's. I certainly don't miss the $200 bill every month. But I get to see the games a few days after they happen on You Tube. Thank you you tube game posters!

It seems that National Networks are here and there on each service at this stage. For now it depends on where you live. I thing the review explained that.
