This may be re-has...but announcers last night...

Just part of the game he is playing.....

Punk had to say something good about the Hawks as unlikely as it was, to compensate for his praise of Indiana State while we were up 15 points......

For years I have heard his nasty shots against Iowa. I try not to listen to him. He is turning into a clown with his demonstrations. He is making a mockery of himself......

I personally can't stand him, just my opinion.....

I wasn't sure he was being sincere in his high assessment of next year's Hokks. The more I think about it, I am convinced he was blowing smoke up our collective gym shorts. He is a Hoosier through and through; no friend of Iowa.

"he's not afraid to speak his mind even if it turns out to be goofy or wrong."

Is that a good thing? I'd prefer someone to be normal and sound in reasoning. Being unafraid of being stupid isn't commendable.

As a college basketball analyst, maybe. But in general, being unafraid to look stupid is VERY commendable. Nothing ever gets done if people only do the safe thing.

Nobody will remember he said this when next season rolls around. If he ends up being right, he'll point back to it and say he called it. If he's wrong, nobody will remember. Come to think of it, that doesn't sound so stupid, at all.

Do not get to confident, Jon retweeted a site yesterday (I forget which one) that had Thomas projected as a 2nd round pick. I about fell out of my chair reading it and if any of it is true then it is possible Thomas could return for his senior year.

Bring 'em all back. Who cares? If we can find one decent shooter next season, we'll be fine. It would have made all the difference in the world this year.

I like Dakich. He brings knowledge of the game, he is a fan of the game and he's not afraid to speak his mind even if it turns out to be goofy or wrong. He's not an Iowa hater at all. And depending on who stays and leaves, Iowa can certainly contend.

If MSU loses Payne and Harris, if Indiana loses Oladipo and Zeller on top of Hulls and Watford, if Michigan loses Burke (and more, not likely) and if OSU loses Thomas, they can contend.

If Thomas stays, Ohio State is gonna be Top 5. If Harris and Payne stay at MSU, MSU will be top 5. I think Oladipo is gone and if Zeller stays they will be voted Top 15 for sure. Michigan, if they only lose Burke, will be Top 15. Iowa MAY be fringe Top 25 to start. Wisconsin loses Bruesewitz, Berggren and Evans. That's a decimated front line. Nearly 20 rebounds of their 37 per game and their inside muscle that helps make them tick. Minnesota loses their inside muscle too, Purdue will be better. Illinois will have young talent, but that is the same old story...losing Paul and Richardson.

I think Iowa will be top 25 pre-season.

Does anyone think he is serious when he says that Josh is the best three point shooter in the Big.....

Another one of the games he plays to mock the Hawks.....

How could someone who shoots 39 -137 be the best three point specialist in the Big......

I have been a fan of Josh from when he committed to the Hawks and praise his sure handling of the ball, he only had 18 turnovers, his passing is excellent, as good as anyone on the team and his D has vastly improved. This, however was not his year for threes, even though he was instrumental in a few wins when he did hit his threes......

I am confident he will turn things around next season......

It is a cruel joke to say he is the best three point shooter in the Big. That is how much of a P**** Dakich is.

I seem to be reading that there are some who were on Josh all season, but are falling for Dakich's little game.....

I'm not, last season Ogelsby shot 29% in Big Ten games, 22% if you remove his Indiana explosion. That's a sample size of over two years worth of conference games of him not hitting at 30%, I don't think he's a very good shooter.

So you agree he is not the best three point shooter in the Big.....

Dakich was a coach for at least a decade I believe, and I think his "hatred" for Iowa is not actually "hatred" but a coach speaking about what he sees in a team. I think he sees how much potential our team has and that we are better than we are currently playing. He talks like a coach, and I think he "loves" our talent and what Fran is building in Iowa City.

I for one don't care for him calling the games because of how obnoxious he is but it does beat any game ever called by Pam Oliver right?

I would rather listen to Doris Burke
