SUCKED....Dakich or whatever his name is, is obviously an Iowa hater. He said very little about Iowa that was positive and has been that way all year. Other then they could be the favorite for the conference next year...he simply ragged on them all night...maybe it was just me! I feel better now.

I was at the game so I didn't have to deal with him, but I felt that way for some of the games he did earlier in the year. Than at the BTT it seemed like he turned over a new leaf and was praising Iowa quite a bit. Maybe that was because they were playing Northwestern, not a team from his most favorite state in the union.

He drives me crazy then says something that makes me laugh and will call out officials. Overall, I prefer not to have him. He did mention Iowa as potential favorites to win the Big Ten next year more than once...so he's not all bad.

Dakich is a clown, but I didn't sense any Iowa hate in him.
When Carter mentioned about old school guards, I believe, the first three that Dakich mentioned were Hoosiers.

Dakich confused himself on the Woodbury play in that it was better in person, than it became better on TV.
Carter needs to look at the pronunciation guide. No excuse for any broadcaster to not pronounce a name correctly this late into the season.

My lord did you see the first half? I kept telling the tv, "come on boys make some shots and the crowd will get into it". I have seen better shooting from HS games. We were lucky we were just so much better than they were, because if they had been a good team they could have been up by 25 at the half. Just lucky nobody told them they could go after some rebounds.

Is he an Iowa hater, or did he say Iowa may be THE favorite for the Big Ten next year? He did have a bit of an Iowa hate session on Twitter once, because he loves his IU buddy Alford. But he seems pretty positive toward the current program.

Dakich is annoying, but I don't think he hates Iowa. He thinks Josh O is the best 3 point shooter in the Big Ten and said Iowa might be pre-season B10 favorties depending on who goes pro in the conference.

I don't agree with those statements but it shows he doesn't hate Iowa.

He is also nuts to proclaim Iowa as a potential favorite in the B10 next year.

We should be top 5, but "favorite" is a bit out on a limb.

Correct.

I like Dakich. He brings knowledge of the game, he is a fan of the game and he's not afraid to speak his mind even if it turns out to be goofy or wrong. He's not an Iowa hater at all. And depending on who stays and leaves, Iowa can certainly contend.

If MSU loses Payne and Harris, if Indiana loses Oladipo and Zeller on top of Hulls and Watford, if Michigan loses Burke (and more, not likely) and if OSU loses Thomas, they can contend.

If Thomas stays, Ohio State is gonna be Top 5. If Harris and Payne stay at MSU, MSU will be top 5. I think Oladipo is gone and if Zeller stays they will be voted Top 15 for sure. Michigan, if they only lose Burke, will be Top 15. Iowa MAY be fringe Top 25 to start. Wisconsin loses Bruesewitz, Berggren and Evans. That's a decimated front line. Nearly 20 rebounds of their 37 per game and their inside muscle that helps make them tick. Minnesota loses their inside muscle too, Purdue will be better. Illinois will have young talent, but that is the same old story...losing Paul and Richardson.

I didn't have a problem with the announcing. I think some of you focus in on the miniscule things a little too much. Try paying attention to the game and then the announcers are just "fluff".

I think Zeller goes. Sure people can say both his brothers stayed 4 years in school but I don't think either one of his brothers were projected top 10 picks as underclassmen. Oladipo is gone as well.

I disagree with you on Michigan. Burke is gone for sure and I expect Hardaway and GR III to leave as well. Hardaway has tested the waters both years so far and GR III is projected as a first rounder.

If Payne and Harris stay, MSU is the favorite IMO. I havent heard much on which way they are leaning.

And at this point I don't even care what Wisky loses. Until they finish outside of the Top 4 in the B1G, I will just assume they are going to every year. Kind of like we couldn't pick the Hawks to lose to PSU or beat NU in football until we actually saw it happen again.

The worst part of the announcing was how little the play by play guy knew about the NIT brackets.

Saying Iowa was the 3 seed in the tourney and the top 2 seeds were going to be eliminated (Kentucky and UMASS). He also said Iowa needed to only win one more game to make it to MSG. Someone should have explained to him there are 4 regions of 8 teams in the NIT.
