There is no doubt in my mind....

Want the really simplest explanation for the suspension? How about, the firm that suspended Dolph heard/saw the comment he made and the person in charge made the decision. Geez. Enough drama already. BTW, just to be clear, I think a sit down with Dolph and a request that he make a public apology, end of story, would have been a better outcome. I simply do not buy the idea that Barta, Fran, Margaret, orchestrated this event. Too many assumptions.

Agree assuming they didn't already converse about it.

So, if Fran has something to do with this, when would he or Margaret listen to the broadcast? Why would a coach listen to a radio broadcast of his game. There would be no value in it. Maybe Margaret heard it if she was at a West High game and listened on the way home, but seriously no way Fran would have a clue unless told after the fact.

Why would you think a guy struggling to recruit a point guard that could be black wouldnt be sensitive about such a comment.

I think it’s more likely the feckless Barta did it to prove he’s in charge.
We're talking about the guy that gave Fran a huge raise/$9 million buyout and was too chickenshit to announce it. Dochterman had to do a freaking FOIA request to discover it. o_O

Exactly, he won’t stand up to a coach but he saw a chance to push around Dolph and probably thought he’d get credit for the move but it blew up. He’s a coward and a fund raiser, not a real AD. He should be running the dance marathon.

Do you think they consulted Ferentz? Not totally just a basketball dea.

I know its basketball season so people think the world revolves around Fran, but what happened to the notion that Kirk controls Barta? Half the people on here believe Kirk controls everything Barta does, but they seem to have forgotten that right now. Kirk likes Dolph. Kirk controls Barta. Fran is second fiddle to Kirk. I thought everyone knew this. But now when its convienent, Fran controls Barta.

Whaaaa....? Why?

That sounds like it runs pretty smoothly. Do you hate dancers?

Are you sure about that? Fran has yet to comment on it as far as I know.

That is what I thought, but the link was in one of these threads, and it claimed he said it about the King Kong reference. Entirely possible, of course, that signals got crossed.
