The state of IOWA leads the nation in nominees for the McD's All-American game

I don't understand why players get nominated.

How many players make up the two teams? 30 maybe?

Shouldn't the McDonalds AA game committe know who should be playing based off of AAU ball results. I mean the best 30 players are playing/have played AAU ball. Shouldn't the team be known already.

So basically all this says is being nomiated is meaningless.

i believe they have 24 for the game 12 per side, depending if they want to do a little geography selection, Woodbury might make it that way, i can say with confidence thay had he committed to UNC he would have been a slam dunk for this game as well as moved up the ranking to be a 5*

So you are saying there is a bias from the recruiting services against BOTH Iowa football and Iowa basketball? Them bastards.

a little yeah and if you don't think so you are niave
also if Woodbury is not on the team it will be the 1st time in years that the NBA top 100 MVP doesn't make it, also its not so much a bias against Iowa, as it is a bias toward the top teams

From the games I have seen on the web (not that many) he seems to be a big target for refs to call fouls on him, even though other guarding him hack him a ton more than he actually fouls anybody.

Here's a classic foul called on Woody.
He's just setting up, yes, his arm is high, but the kid flops and Adam gets the foul called.
