The sponsors are the key to KXNO

Great post. Could not agree more. I don't get why Smoot and Cliche keep dogging people for doing what they want to do. Well, I guess I understand for Cliche; he's just not very bright.

If people want to boycott/complain that's their choice and I can't stop them anyway. I just think it's laughable that people are getting so worked up about this non-issue. IMO, I doubt a couple people from this board calling sponsors are going to have any effect. Commentators say things I disagree with all the time; that doesn't mean I'm going to waste my time calling businesses that advertise with them to complain. I just won't listen to the program if it offends me.

Additionally, the fact that Perrault's name fills up this message board leads me to believe that more people will be listening and helping his ratings. Jim Rome does the same crap Perrault does and is wildly successful for it.

Let me rephrase that so it doesn't "fly right over your head" (sorry for stealing your catchphrase btw). You might be surprised who works for the sponsors of KXNO programming, and you might be surprised by where I work.

That would explain why you have been defending Matt on every negative post on this board.

First of all, the only reason I've been getting on you is that you keep ripping on these guys for getting upset, but you're acting the same way about them. If it really doesn't bother you then just let it go.

Second, you may think it's a non-issue, but I think it's pretty repugnant when someone makes his buck by slandering an innocent kid. I don't want to support that behavior and I don't want to buy from people that do. I agree that a boycott organized on a message board has a slim (at best) chance of making a difference. However, I get to decide how to spend my money. At the very least, I can have the personal satisfaction of knowing I don't contribute to this sort of thing.

If you are foolish enough to make, nor not make, a five figure purchase decision based on what one on air talk monkey says on the air you are not a customer who most business want.

Again intelligent business owners understand that they can't please everyone. They also realize that the customers that complain the loudest, and for the most insane reasons, are their worst customers. They would rather you take your business elsewhwere in most cases, because while you do contribute a smidge of cash to the top-line, you actually cost them more money than you are worth.

Smart business owners realize that if a person calls in to complain about what show thier advertising is running in they are just as likely to complain that the free donuts in the lounge weren't fresh enough, or someone stole a nickle from your change compartment while you were getting your free oil change... or whatever.

Unless someone gets completely out of line (think Imus' comments on the Rutgers basketball team a few years back) it's a non issue. While Matt's comments are short sighted and ill thought out at best, and slanderous at worst, they aren't near that level.

I dont have a dog in this fight because I dont live in DM and even if I did, I wouldnt listen to that Clown MP. That said, You are sadly mistaken when you say that businesses wouldnt want a 5 figure sale because the person is a complainer or not very smart.
I sold 5 and even 6 figure merchandise and I will tell you, I wanted that sale, I didnt care what the baggage was that accompanied the buyer.
My boss shared the same view and so did the owner of the company.

Miller and Deace was the highest rated show on sports radio because people like listening to stuff about sports that wasn't lambasted with sensationalism. (Have you ever actually listened to Deace?)

FAIL: I listened for the "LOST" rehash once a week!
