The sad part about Weisman

Look, all I am saying is that Weisman hits the hole hard and fast - there is nothing rumbling, bumbling, stumbling about him. He's not Cervantes or Busch on a hot streak. He said he practiced at runningback prior to the injuries. Bullock has been great. No question. Would sure have been nice to see Weisman come in against ISU on the goalliine, especially when Bullock came out for the last play of the 3rd quarter. I keep hearing about Garmon being a homerun threat, but it's obvious he could surely have used a redshirt.

No one during practice when Weisman was carrying the ball thought, "geesh this guy can really run the ball, we need to get him some touches on Saturday?"

I am not passing any judgment on Garmon. He hopefully will develop into a great back. But right now there is no comparison between him and Weisman. I just wonder why the staff couldn't identify this earlier when Weisman says he was also working in at halfback. It's not about Bullock - he deserves all of his touches. It's about identifying and being creative with your talent.

If I am not mistaken, Weisman only started working on RB last week with Malloy being sick. That might be part of the reason. I could be wrong though.

Regardless, he's a very good runner that for whatever reason the staff did not identify prior to the injuries. I have a problem with that. Cripes, Ferentz gets excuses for not being able to recruit, and now he gets excuses for not identifing talent on his own freaking roster. I give up.

He's been the best we've had since he's been here. The most steady. That's the state of our program. And it's the same old Kirk problem since he's been here. Remember when paki omeara started over shonn greene? I'll keep reminding you.

Wow! Necro much? How long did u have to sift before you came across this gem?

In typical Ferentz fashion it takes injuries for the team to figure out its best players were on the bench or in Weisman's case limited to blocking. We've got two freak athletes in Law and Alston wasting away on the bench...I don't care whatpositions they play you need to find a way to get your freak athletes on the field. Weisman is so head and shoulders above Garmon at this point how could the staff not have identified that in camp and redshirted Garmon, which he really needed?

Weisman hits the hole faster and harder than any other back that's gotten a carry this year yet but for injuries he never sees the ball.

Are you drunk?

How many times a month do you change keyboards?:p

Out of sheer embarrassment for having even typed that, Ill share a funny keyboard story. My wife got me a Hawkeyes wireless keyboard for Christmas a few years back. Well its a flakey keyboard as its wireless and it has no notification on it when the battery is dead. Well one day I was trying to type a fast email with it and it was missing every 5th letter or so well in my haste I shouted out why do you always work halfassed? My wife said, "Probably something to do with the logo on it." and my best friend chimed in, "Why its not like Ferentz himself constructed it."
