Look, all I am saying is that Weisman hits the hole hard and fast - there is nothing rumbling, bumbling, stumbling about him. He's not Cervantes or Busch on a hot streak. He said he practiced at runningback prior to the injuries. Bullock has been great. No question. Would sure have been nice to see Weisman come in against ISU on the goalliine, especially when Bullock came out for the last play of the 3rd quarter. I keep hearing about Garmon being a homerun threat, but it's obvious he could surely have used a redshirt.
No one during practice when Weisman was carrying the ball thought, "geesh this guy can really run the ball, we need to get him some touches on Saturday?"
I am not passing any judgment on Garmon. He hopefully will develop into a great back. But right now there is no comparison between him and Weisman. I just wonder why the staff couldn't identify this earlier when Weisman says he was also working in at halfback. It's not about Bullock - he deserves all of his touches. It's about identifying and being creative with your talent.
