The game was there for the taking

Let's compare Indiana's stats on Saturday vs. when Wisconsin beat Indiana in Bloomington.
Indiana vs. Iowa........ Indiana vs Wisconsin
FG %: 38%................ FG%: 37%
3 PT %: 14%.............. 3 PT %: 25%
Turnovers: 12............. Turrnovers: 11
FT: 29-42: 69%........... FT: 16-19: 84%
Fouls: 25................... Fouls: 16

Fouls are obviously a discrepancy, but Indiana did not shoot the ball well. They didn't shoot the ball well against Wisconsin either and Wisconsin found a way to win.
If Iowa could have eliminated the stupid mistakes and turnovers, this game was theirs. I'm not going to start a discussion about the refs, but Iowa was only charged with 2 more total fouls than Indiana.

Whites stats dont look to bad in the box score, but I thought he had a tough game too.

You guys are funny. Iowa brought this game down to a scrum and was never in doubt with or without ft's. I hope the AD doesn't judge Frans future based on guys... wow.

White has been a star all year and is one of the best players in the Big Ten.

The future of Iowa basketball is very bright and I'm not sure why threads like this need to be started.

I'm guessing Fran will be at Iowa as long as he wants to be. He is a great coach.

People seem to forget where we were 3 short years ago - to go from 10-22 to 18-11 with several games to play is truly amazing, if you think about it (with 6 losses of 4 points or less).

We just need to mature a little bit and Iowa's drought in the NCAA will be over (I'm guessing we dance next year or the year after). We are very young and inexperienced in the guard court, and it shows up in close games

I never said Iowa's future wasn't bright. I'm picking them to finish top 3 in the B1G next year. Erase the first half mistakes, and Iowa could have won this game.

You just lost credibility. Finishing above 500 with a harder B1G schedule next year will be a big accomplishment.

Our schedule is the 6th toughest in the B10 this year, the schedule factor for next year is overrated.

We're 2-6 in games decided by 4 points or less, we have a lot of room to improve there.

Just my opinion, but the difference was that Indiana's defense didn't suffocate the Badgers offense like they did ours. I realize we played at a very high level defensively the other night, but our defense IMO was the only thing that kept us in the game, because they gave us absolutely nothing to work with on the offensive end.

I think this is the key point. Go 4-4 instead of 2-6, and we're dancing.

We need our guards to play better in the last 3 minutes of games. I think they will next year....

I'm not sure what that means but I'm not sure I had credibility to begin with. lol. With the players this team has coming back and the 2 good additions of Jok and Uthoff, if this team doesn't finish above .500 next year in conference Fran should be fired. The big question is if they can put it all together. I think they can and will. I expect a top 3 finish.

I'm pretty sure Iowa did not dictate the pace of this game. Iowa is not a physical team, they like to run. This 'scrum' was 100% dictated by Indiana and they were better at it than Iowa...with or without ft's.

A 7 footer that runs the floor in a scrum. It was Iowa. Indiana was never worried.

Most Iowa games in the B1G are scrums.

and there you have it. We go .500 in those games...just .500, and we finish in the top half of the conference and are in the tourney.

When will the rest of us realize we just can't compete with basketball god (IL Hawk) and stop arguing?
