The concensus outside of Iowa is

that the hawks don't have a ghost of a chance tomorrow. Not that many times that Iowa goes into a game as a decided underdog like this. Maybe last year against OU.

That's exactly why I think the hawks go up there and pull their shorts down. this time KF knows he's got nothing to lose. I say they go up there and let it all hang out.

Outside of the surprise Weisman has been this year the Hawks haven't done much to make anybody on the outside believe in them. Hell, most of us are having a hard time believing in them.

KF and let it all hang out.......now there's two thoughts you don't often see paired together. I'll believe it when I see it cause I am concerned he won't even hand the ball to bullock 5 times for a change of pace.

That's pretty much the same consensus inside Iowa

Iowa will lose tomorrow. The offense is BAD outside of weisman. It just is. Jake vandensen is beyond jumpy and terrible and Iowa plays not all that great coming off a bye.

Whew I almost thought no one was gonna say anything to pump me up for the game tomorrow, but once again i underestimated you!

I suppose those big holes Weisman runs through open themselves.

If they can open the same type of holes tomorrow they've been opening the past couple games, you're going to see a lot of people on the Hawkeye and Weisman bandwagon. It can and may happen, but I think it's fair to take a wait-and-see approach. Everyone knows it's one thing bullying a rebuilding, fairly downtrodden Minny program...compared to physically abusing a very solid, hard-hitting, attacking, above-average MSU defense.

Part of me has a sneaky suspicion tomorrow we could see '02 IA v. UM, where very few people saw a physical beatdown coming...yet I could also see the exact opposite occurring, ala '11 IA v. Nebby, in which offensive ineptness and a seeming refusal to adjust the offensive gameplan resulted in a miserable experience for every Hawkeye. We'll see what we get tomorrow.

This sums it up for me. I've been saying this game hinges on our offensive line. I believe everyone agrees they will be very good at some point, but today they face a major step up in competition. The question is, "are they ready to take that growth step now, and handle a top 10 defense"? My head says they will have their moments today, but won't be able to be as consistent as we need them to be to stay in this game. My hearts longs for the 2002 UM type of beat down as the poster here so fondly recalls.

Agreed about the fact that KF won't even mix up the running backs in a game let alone a series.

I think you guys are really underselling the offensive line. It might be one of the best in the big 10. That always gives your offense a chance.
