The concensus outside of Iowa is

Iowa will lose tomorrow. The offense is BAD outside of weisman. It just is. Jake vandensen is beyond jumpy and terrible and Iowa plays not all that great coming off a bye.

The o-line and the defense are playing well enough to hang with Sparty so it basically comes down to JVB. In other words, it should be a long day for the Hawkeye faithful.

This game, as I"ve posted before will be like a 14-3 17-7 game Sparty wins because they hold Weisman in check and JVB and our lack luster WR corps won't be able to make MSU pay on the back end of the D. This will be a methodical abomination with a poor offensive showing again. Our D should be able to keep us close enough to continue to watch.

As I've stated before this will be a poor excuse for a game we will ultimately lose because MSU can play run D and JVB with mediocre WRs won't be able to get big plays down field. This will look, sound, smell and finish like the Penn St. game did from a year ago or the Nebraska game. The D will keep us in it but yet again the offense will do little if anything against MSU. It will be a methodical lack luster abomination of a game. Thank GOD I get to switch back and forth watching K-State pound the Psyclowns.

I think Iowa has an outside shot today - it would have to be our best game of the season, but it can be done. I'm not counting on it, but I'm hoping for it anyways.

I actually think ISU has a pretty good shot at taking down KSU in l'Ames. The Hawk in me wants to see a good old fashioned 56-7 beat down, but the objective college football fan in me sees this as being a very tight contest.
