It is tough to get a handle on what is up with the Big 12. You don't know if you need to add 1 or 2 or 4 teams. Second, you don't know if members have to make a six or thirteen year commitment. Will Missouri remain a member? There is a lot of speculation about new members, which TCU is speculated to be. The future may soon get clearer for the members, but if the revenue sharing is only a six year commitment then it maybe back to the present problems.
Personally the Big 12 will not have the luster it had with Nebraska, Colorado, A&M, and possibly Missouri as members. I just do not see Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State, and Baylor able to compete with Texas and Oklahoma in football. Those two dominated the Big 12 and the task looks even easier now.
