Starting RB

Ferentz always plays it safe first game, I don't expect to see hill in until game 2. Garmon may be game 3 because of his recent trouble. I bet bullock Johnson and Rogers with bullock getting the start

No one has any experience to speak of so the guy who gives us the best chance to be successful will get the nod. My guess is Bullock or Hill.

If Canzeri was healthy it would certainly be him. I do think it will be Bullock because he has not gotten hurt, done something stupid, etc. I really do think that Garmon will play a huge role though. If not by RB right away he will contribute in the return game for sure, especially kick returns. I think that the coaching staff will slowly work him into the fold and by big ten play I think it will be split between him and Bullock, with some Johnson sprinkled in there. When it comes to RB it is always something we don't expect isn't it?

Homer fantasy... Barkley Hill goes for 1 fifty and never looks back..doesn't get injured, stays out of trouble, is characterized by Coach Ferentz(s) as the best young blocker in pass protection they have all coache.

In the meantime Garmon, Bullock, De Andre combine for over 700 back-up yards.

The Hawkeyes gain more yards, and score more points than ever before.

This allows a young, developing D=Line gain some experience and Iowa plays in the .... and wins to end the season.

Then the heisman candidate Hill burns his entire body in a freak gasoline fight accident in the offseason, out for the year... ah yes I can see it now.

This sounds like a fantasy pick question. Answer: Look elsewhere. Just no way to know right now. Bullock is first in line, but that hasn't meant crap for a long long time.

If someone emerges, odds are they will be available after the season starts.

Why don't you just put a bullet in the kid's head? You're a monster.

Bullock starts...but you will see Johnson and you will see Barkley Hill. Hill will be the main guy by game four. I think he's the real deal from watching his film. I know it's a different level of competition, but it wasn't like he was playing against 1A competition in HS. I just think he's going to fit into the running scheme and he's bigger than Bullock or Garmon.

This is Johnson's year to either show it, or get past up by younger players. He has the potential to be a Fred Russell type of player, but his time is running out to earn minutes.
He would be a great change of pace type back, who hides behind linemen then darts through tiny holes. I'm hoping he makes the grade.

bullock is the starter now with johnson backing him up...this will be the case for 2 or 3 games. during the 1st few games hill and garmon will get carries and they will look for the best tandem. i think hill will be half of the tandem paired with bullock or garmon. garmon and bullock are big play guys so whoever doesnt win the full job at rb i feel will play some at wr/slot to get them on the field...they will still be a rb but will have packages where they are at wr/slot. johnson was passed up by canzeri and bullock last yr. i like what he brings but he just doesnt quite have it. rogers is far and away our best fb...just look at the difference last yr when he got back and wasnt even 100% and how much better he was...so he will help but that fact tells me he probably wont see any time at rb.

I think LeVeon Bell and Montee Ball will split carries, since they're Hawkeyes now. You hear that AIRBHG? BELL AND BALL ARE IOWA HAWKEYES NOW!
