Starting RB

You seem to be mistaken by my criticism of what you have said. I have nothing wrong with the speculative nature of these discussions, and I am fully aware that they are vital to the conversation.

What I have a problem with is when people, in this case you, assume a position of authority on a subject that you obviously have no expertise on. I don't need to know you to know that you have no idea how to correctly analyse and evaluate players based on the video available to you.

ughh...assume a position of authority...really...I'm in a football forum you idiot. I don't think you could be in a place any further from a position of authority. I watched his highlight tapes, I gave an opinion because I liked what I saw, and I shared the opinion. I played the game for championship HS teams, I've watched it for 20 some years pretty passionately, so I think I'm entitled to my opinion and, although I don't know all there is to know, I've seen enough to form an opinion. If you don't like it, shove it up your arse.

You have a problem with a authority don't you. That's what this is about. You're not angry with me, you are angry at the establishment. The man, he's been keeping you down, right. Well, I say you fight city hall dude.

Did someone in a position of authority abuse you? There is help for that kind of thing out there. Let me help you, really.

Oh great!! Don't they get enough free stuff from the school? All these hoodies and pants and beats by Dre's! Our rb's and team for that matter needs to stay out of trouble!

There it is.

So I should just accept that your "film analysis" (aka watching highlight clips on You Tube and "analyzing" them with years of homer message board experience) because it might be true?

If that is the case, I demand you accept my prediction that James Vandenberg will get super powers from nuclear fallout and become a hulk like battering ram who moves to full back.

Yeah!!! You got him there bro!

Your brother,

bullock is the starter now with johnson backing him up...this will be the case for 2 or 3 games. during the 1st few games hill and garmon will get carries and they will look for the best tandem. i think hill will be half of the tandem paired with bullock or garmon. garmon and bullock are big play guys so whoever doesnt win the full job at rb i feel will play some at wr/slot to get them on the field...they will still be a rb but will have packages where they are at wr/slot. johnson was passed up by canzeri and bullock last yr. i like what he brings but he just doesnt quite have it. rogers is far and away our best fb...just look at the difference last yr when he got back and wasnt even 100% and how much better he was...so he will help but that fact tells me he probably wont see any time at rb.

I think you nailed it, especially the part about getting Garmon or Bullock in on some special packages. I think Rogers will see a lot of time as the single back in the shotgun, and I think he'll actually see some carries and quite a few swing passes and screens from that position.

I think Hill will be a better version of Adam Robinson...and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

i dont think rogers sees any time as a singleback with jvb under center. i see him being a shotgun singleback depending on the package. everytime rogers is at singleback instead of a hill or garmon or bullock we have lost a playmaker. this team will need 1 of those 3 on the field at all times (imo) to go along with kd and kmm as playmakers. cjf will be a 1st down and td monster but i dont see him being a playmaker (to me that is breakaway speed and elusiveness). i feel we will have 5 playmakers (kd, kmm, hill, bullock, garmon). to me 3 of those 5 must be on the field at all times.

I gotta go with WinOneThisCentury on this argument. Nothing wrong with his analysis of Hill. Now, I may not know what I don't know or not know nothing about something or whatever dumb statement was thrown out. Hell I am not Socrates, nor am I related, but I am pretty sure he did not play football, so I am not sure his wisdom applies. But again, I don't know what I think I thought I knew. What I do think I know, but now I am not sure because I don't know if I was suppose to know is that we need a RB to step up this year. I think???? Holy shizznits, now I am confused. What was the question? I can't remember if I thought I was suppose to know. My HS jock days can't even help me out on this one.

If he can use his HS football experience to analyse film, then I can use my HS AP psychology experience to analyse you.

Dude, you're a genius.

You are hilarious. Something happened to you in HS that wasn't good right? You can't let that go. You mention my HS glory days, but you fail to realize I've followed the game very closely for 20 years. Do you know how many times I've seen college game day and NFL crews break down tape? Most on here have similar experience so they aren't drawing on just their "playing days", they are using their whole experience. Maybe it's a little strange to you, but I'm one of those guys that will watch a Hawkeye game 4-5 times to be able to see who's playing well and how plays were executed...and why they failed. I find it enjoyable to focus on the offensive line play for an entire game, and I will admit I love Gamefilms analysis each week.

I think some psychological counseling is in order Stache, you obviously haven't let it go from your HS days, or maybe you are a really young guy and it's all fresh in your head. Time heals dude. Did you hate the jocks that bad that you are still harboring ill will?
