If we need clutch free throws at the end of the game? Gatens is gone so who is the guy? Gessel? Marble? White?
 
I'm guessing gesell. He shot close to 90% IIRC as a senior and will most likely be the best FT shooter this year
 
What will broadcasters have to talk about this year without Gatens there to be jinxed by their constant babble about his free throw shooting percentage?
 
For those saying White - he shot under 70% from the line as a frosh. That's not very comforting. I'm sure he'll shoot better later in his career.
 
gesell or ogelsby. jo will increase his percent and i think gesell will be an 85% or higher guy. marble could put that into his tool box as an ice in the veins end of the game guy.
 
This could be another subtle benefit of having extra depth as guys should have fresher legs. I think White and Marble especially as they struggled a bit with conditioning as did Oglesby when playing long stretches.
 
Look for RDM to up his game another notch this year and be the high scorer as well as Mr. Clutch. This is an opportunity for him to step up and be a leader.
 
MikeG shot 92% from the line during the PTL. As the above poster wrote, he was nearly equally good in high school from the stripe.

I hope, even as a frosh, he is the man at that spot.

Marble, Gesell, and White are going to be in almost every game at the end and the ball is likely going to be in their hands. They are the most likely to shoot FTs. However, if you're talking about who is going to take up Gatens' mantle, Fran has already said that he expects Marble to fulfill that leadership role.
