Losing Nunge was a huge hit for me, Fran now has a huge hole to fill. As the team sits right now it’s a 2nd division team, assuming Wieskamp is gone. Get Wieskamp and another solid big man and they could climb into the top 5.

Same. This will sound corny, but I actually feel more terrible for Jack than anything. Whatever is hurting him mentally has to be pretty crushing to give up a 2-3 year starting role in a Big Ten basketball program. I hope he gets some comfort real quick.

I don’t mean to project myself on him at all, but I know when my dad died I was only 26 and it wrecked me big time. His dad’s death is something he’s going to think about multiple times a day, everyday, for the rest of his life. It wasn’t always hurt this bad and eventually he’ll be able to think happily, but he’s not going to be the same guy.
