Marble gets his game totally together and becomes Iowa's Oladipo
White improves his game and becomes Iowa's Watford
Clemmons becomes Yogi
JO overcomes mental issues and mimics Hulls
McCabe becomes Iowa's Sheehey.

Finally, the x-factor is Basabe.

I think FM is every bit as good as anyone in the league.

Over reaching is putting it mildly. Let's just hope for a tournament run next year, and be pleasantly surprised if they do more.
 
next year should be great, but I am tempering my excitement because of the following:

1988 football
1989 basketball
1997 football
2001 basketball
2002 basketball
2005 basketball
2005 football
2006 football
2010 football

for some reason, preseason hype and the hawkeyes are not a good mix

sorry for that, but those who fail to recognize history are doomed to repeat it (or something like that), point is Iowa should be good next year, like 23 to 25 wins good. However, the Big Ten will be tough again, and getting to that next level will be a challenge

My favorite part of this post is that we become the #1 team in the country without Geseel playing a major role
 
Ohhhh and She-he is light years more athletic than McCabe. We probably don't have a player on the roster as athletic as She-he.

Seriously, my thread's point was to find the performance/talent gaps on Iowa's team and compare them to where they *could* be a year from now. G-zel just needs to quit throwing the ball away at times.
