Hahahaha! Rhoads is in trouble? How so? He took ISU from a 3-9/2-10 record the previous 2 years to 7-6 with less talent in his first year.

i think what pooker is referencing is that he might be already at his peak. The talent he inherited was probably not all that bad - chiz got some players in - I think based on his recruiting class so far this year - he is looking at a tough road.

And i think it is a real possibility that 3/9 will be your record this year and that 7 win mark just an anomaly. Probably UNI and maybe Colorado will be wins, Colorado if Hawkins is out and the players quit. I can't see any others.
 
Dude, cyclone boy, get lost. Sims shouldn't even be playing. But since he is let's be real. Sash will play in the league. Sims won't.

I had us penciled in at 5-7 this year. Staying with it. Think 4-8 may happen if we lose anyone else on defense. Just don't have any depth there yet. We will though as Rhoads will build it up.

We are still seeing the effects of Dan McCarney's last 4 classes in which a lot of players never even stayed at ISU. It made us burn RS early, take more JUCO's, etc.

Never said Sash wasn't a great player. Just that it is easier to look really good when you have the best D line in the country. Anyone who argues doesn't know football. Period.

I wasn't really talking about how superior our D-line is to ISU's, Der or any other area where we dominate ISU. I'm talking about in general the million excuses you guys always come up with to try and rationlize the a$$-whooping you took Saturday.

What I do know is you spend a lot of time over here defending iowa state. I don't get that. Why do you do this? Insecure about the state of your program? Jealous of ours? Both?

ISU fans say the stupidest things about Iowa on CF, but I am not going to sweat it, and I'm not going to waste any time over there defending Iowa. I don't care what they say. Why do you care what we say? I have now moved past isu, and am looking forward to Arizona. You should look forward to K-State. You have a 6-6 goal to start attacking...

you are blaming this on McCarney?? I suppose you blame Arnaud on McCarney too?

Maybe Rodes should have got a few more jucos fro your d than he did. i didn't think he got all that many.
 
Cyclones17 is the worst type of Cyclone fan. The one that doesn't realize that his team just got ****ed up by Iowa and continues to talk **** like it never happened. Go back to CyFanatic and try to brainstorm how you guys are going to beat the Big 12 north powerhouse Kansas State.

I think ignoring the obvious stuff comes naturally with being a Cyclone fan. They are so used to mediocrity and losing that they become attached to the "small victories". If they didn't then they would be miserable all the time... you can't really blame them for that. I admit I handle losing very poorly... frankly if the Hawks lose it ruins my day which I realize is ridiculous in the grand scheme of things. If the Hawks lost more often than not, I'd be a miserable individual on most fall weekends. After getting tired of being miserable, I think I would start to become attached to the few positives I could find. Maybe even to the point that my theories on a player's talent or team expectations become slightly delusional.
