Sick! TCU blows out opponent

Personally I always think the NIT champion can thumb their nose at the Selection Committee and say "We told you we belonged."

I agree with that. Well, unless a low seed in the NIT makes a unexpected run. I agree if a 1-2 seed runs thru & wins it, but that is not always the case.

Many .. MANY .. years ago (45 +/-) .. back when both tourneys had 32 teams .. the winner of the NIT would lay claim to being the best team in the land. It's one of the reasons the NCAA expanded. Of course that's before the money for the rights exploded.

GO HAWKS!!!

Tournament was seeded poorly. TCU should have been a 1 or 2.

Why? They were 6-12 in the 12. They beat a short handed KU. They had a good non Conference record. Their quick guards most have defended CFU's 35 foot shots. Iowa wouldn't have done that likely. No guarantee of success. CFU beat an Illinois team that beat us 2x.

I can play this game too.

Had Iowa not shot 16/30 on 3s, TCU would have ran us out of CHA.

1. If you're an Iowa fan why would you make a dipshit comment like that? STFU next time.

2. Iowa's missed free throws and turnovers hurt more than the 3 pointers helped.

Relax.

I made the comment because I got sick of people saying free throws cost us the game. I spelled it out in most of those threads. When 60% ft shooters shoot 40% that only costs you a few points. Iowa trailed for 10 a few times in the second half of that game and had to battle back, a couple free throws probably doesn't change anything.

Turnovers (14 I think) and terrible defense cost Iowa that game more than anything.
