Shonn Greene Omitted from the Top 5 RBs of the BTN Era

I'm sorry, only one Big 10 back has won the Doak Walker award for best runningback over that span and he didn't make the list?

This has to be a case where they forgot him and then came up with excuses as to why they didn't include him after the fact. John Clay! Are you ******* kidding me with that ********?

Don't worry, guys. I hear that the BTN is currently in production on a special about "best furniture-moving ability among dudes who took a year off to get their act together".

That is a joke. BHGP did a nice job of exposing that. And having Helu on HM ticks me off as much as Greene not top 5...he never played a snap in the Big Ten...enough trying to go out of your way to make Nebraska feel important. If they were so important, pay em a full share of revenues

Celebrating 5 years: B1G’s top 5 RBs of BTN era « Big Ten Network

When I asked the BTN about this via Twitter, Brent Yarina (writer for their site) got back to me:

Greene did have an unreal year, no doubt. But B1G was loaded with RBs w longer track records...And as for Hart, no his 2007 wasn't up to Greene's level, but he played in era and all stats are taken into account.

BHGP's reply:
I Guess We Need to Remind the BTN About Shonn Greene - Black Heart Gold Pants

They say it's about "career" and then put Montee Ball NUMBER ONE?! And if it is TRULY about "career", Javon Ringer is not "Honorable Mention", he is Top Five.

Then they put Roy Helu Jr. on the list? Um...exactly how many conference games did he play in the Big Ten/B1G?

That list is a joke.

Hmmm...maybe we're over thinking this...if Helu is one of the Big10's best during the BTN era, maybe we need to check and see if Shonn Greene is one of the Big12's best during that time!?!?

I just blew my own mind...

Edit: Looking through the comments and the first 2 I see mention how "dominate" Greene was...

Doesn't surprise me in the least. I won't say that the BTN is anti-Iowa, but I will say they certainly aren't fans of the Hawkeyes. Will be interesting to see if they broadcast any of our preseason basketball games this year.

Palm meet face.

Everyone in the media is out to get Iowa...Jim Rome, Colin Cowherd, ESPN, Gregg Doyel, the DMR, and now even our own conference is out to make us look bad!
