It's definitely in my mind. $800 plus another $400 for donation level is fine if Iowa is good or at least not boring, but this offense is downright bad. Unimaginitive. Ineffective. Boring. If Davis doesn't go after this season it would be really hard to pony up again knowing that there was no hope.
We have 4 tickets. $1600 donation in total. Plus the cost of tickets. We lost our seats to some delta bravo who won't switch and let us sit with rest of our former group of 8 in a row. We made the call even after the Ball State miracle that this year is it and it had nothing to do with the ISU game. I haven't mentioned it yet on here, but I skipped going to the Iowa-Iowa State game to go to a NASCAR Nationwide race because I was almost certain we were gonna lose after what I saw against Ball State and I didn't want to sit next to some delta bravo while this went on (and I prolly had more fun tailgating there and loved being able to carry beers into the race with me).
The value simply isn't there when you have to drive 8 hours round trip to go and shell out that sort of coin, especially with the nanny state tailgating rules and steady diminution in atmosphere that has occurred over the years (maybe it's just as good and I'm just getting old, but I doubt it). Younger folks aren't showing up in the same numbers as they used to, either. The school is gonna find itself in a really bad spot unless this ship gets majorly righted. The extortionary tone they took with the reseating really rubbed me wrong and I could deal with another half dozen consecutive 4 win seasons, but I can't deal with (a) a bad team, (b) some moron Solon cop wanting to smell my bottle of water when I walk down Melrose, (c) sitting next to some delta bravo and (d) the attempted shakedown that led me to be stuck sitting next to said delta bravo.
