I don't see an Izzo asst coming after reading how Izzo feels about how Lick was shown the door.

This really shouldn't be a shock to anybody. Iowa needs to get the best assistant coach in the country IMO. A guy that is the #1 recruiter for his program with tons of connections. Iowa needs a huge talent upgrade and they never were going to get Pearl anyway so IMO go for the next best thing.
Not when they are already making 2.4 mil a year.
I'm just throwing out a successful program. How about an assistant for Pitt? UCONN? Maryland?
You should probably be worrying about who ISU is going to get after McDermott gets canned next year, shouldn't you?

I understand where you're coming from, but I think an assistant coach is the last thing Iowa really wants right now, no matter where they come from or who they may be.
Our last two hires have had limited HC experience, and I doubt they would wanna hire someone w/ even less. Not to mention the majority of the fans could not name one assistant coach in the nation right now (therefore, no interest generated outside of the intense fans)
NO WAY..Iowa is way better than the second fiddle off someone elses staff. Iowa needs a proven leader that can recruit. Get the athletes that can play a style of Basketball that will fill the seats. Someone with a little fire under shoes. I like Lon Kruger.
Way better? I think you need somebody that can recruit. That is the #1 criteria. Iowa needs a talent upgrade bad.
A proven winner that can recruit? Good luck. Those guys are tough to land and likely not coming to IC.

Kansas took a chance on an assistant coach from UNC by the name of Roy Williams. How'd that work out?
