Schematically? There's not much difference. The difference is in application. Bielema uses that scheme more aggressively than we do.
our scheme really isnt the problem its the lack of diversity within the scheme ect
I guess i should have known better than to expect legitimate answers.
They do a lot more trapping with their o-line. We're pretty straight ahead/zone blocking-oriented. Also, more sweeps, counters, and draws, so the timing on their run plays has more diversity.
I tried to give one above. :/
Wisconsin's running game is much more variable than Iowa's. They run a lot more pull plays, sprint draws, and toss sweeps. They also run some inside/outside zone plays. Wisky also varies how they run each of those plays. Iowa pretty much runs inside/outside zone. They run basic Iso and dives too.
They'll run 3-4 variations of just their basic power play. Use the TE in motion as the lead blocker or backside seal, pull guards, tackles, center at different times. Chyst is a great offensive coordinator. So tough to get a read on what they're doing.
wisc never afraid to have a few wrinkles even if they are a relatively newer trend. id have a heart attack if i saw iowa run a fly sweep package play like wisc just did for the td.
