Ruh-roh Re: Delano Hill

Tanner must of felt 6" tall when the team watched that play on tape. I know it's Denard Robinson, but that was pretty embarrassing.

I'd be shocked if Hill still signs with Iowa. Unfortunately as long as Ferentz at the helm this is going to continue to happen. Who wants to play this crap brand of football? Who wants to be stuck behind garbage players like JVB and have your coach lie and say "he gives us the best chance to win"?

Dang it Stanzi, it is "who wants to play on a dog crap team."

Sounds like Hill is likely to visit Michigan along with another teammate. His high school coach said they've been talking about playing with each other. Doesn't look good. I don't think he was going to switch for Pittsburgh, but home state Michigan is a different story.

A lot of kids say they want to play together, many do, many don't, guess we will have to wait and see what he does. February can't get here fast enough.

Hill has teammates at Iowa
but some of you seem to want him to leave, so you can have more reasons to rip KF

I don't think anyone WANTS him to leave but for some people it is easier to start dealing with it now just in case he does end up leaving. Plus you are right Ruben Lile and Laron Taylor are both classmates of his from a couple years ago and Delano just said in an interview not more than a week ago that he, Ruben and Laron are extremely close.

You are right, it didn't take long for many people to blame KF for this just like the Garmon transferring thread. If Delano decommits we won't know the real reason that deep down only Delano knows why, he won't come out say "KF runs a crap program" or "Iowa isn't good enough".

at least with Lile and Taylor, they just got out of HS back in Spring. so its not like he was a FR when they graduated, and Miller might just be replaced by Lile, Hill will get his chance to replace Law, Miller or Draper,
but one thing it will do is create solid depth and some very good competition in camp.
Ialso remember what people said about Considiene [not sure about the spelling] that he was not very good and needed to be on the bench his JR year.
we have a lot of crappy expert talent evalators on here, that it stinks.
some of you need to call Barta and volunteer your expert advise on who to play and who should sit, not to mention your expertise on how to get better players

I think that is key, solid depth and good competition.

Draper is a cornerback.

Lile at FS replacing Tanner Miller and Nico Law or Delano Hill at SS that seems pretty good to me!

with Morgan who changed his name to Gair out of TX RS'ing, Campbell from Florida being a RSFR this year the depth is solid and all have good speed, to add Hill, Rucker and Warfield this spring because I doubt he backs out now. this will allow for more man to man coverage, more nickle and dime packages.. it is also my hope rather than having the DB's lining up 7-10 yards off their man they start using a bump and run defense.

Campbell has track speed, dude is fast. Don't forget about Jordan Lomax coming off his redshirt from shoulder surgery.

They need to run more man to man if they are not going to blitz or are unable to create pressure with the defensive line.

Well that is true but that is true for about 10-15 other colleges that school is a big D1 talent pool.

I understand that. But redhawk was trying to make it sound like having a teammate on the team is exclusive to Iowa. I'm hoping he stays, I really truly am, because I think next years recruiting will slump a lot due to this seasons performance. We need to get and keep all the playmakers we can.

Yeah true, we are all hoping that his committment to Iowa is stronger than his feel to play for Michigan or anyone else for that matter.

As Redhawk pointed out in another thread the good sign is that other top tier schools are going after him, that means that he has real potential. That isn't always the case with other players. Yes, Ferentz and this staff has found many diamonds in the rough but they can't keep making a living off that, the last 3 seasons have proved that.

What? We're having troubles on the recruiting front? No way!

I don't think it is "trouble", it was reported by Allen Trieu from Scout. He is like many media types who work for pay sites he is very creative with titles and creating interest to his viewers.

Maybe Delano is really interested, maybe he isn't, we won't know for sure until he either switches committment or he signs with Iowa.

solomon warfield is pretty much just as good of a prospect. actually probably more ready to contribute early.

What makes you say that did you read something somewhere or are you just looking at his high school highlight films?
