Ron Artest

We're talking about the Bobcats, not the Hornets. Isiah was the GM not the owner, but again people care about basketball in NY, nobody cares about the Bobcats.

My bad, I thought the discussion was about the city of Charlotte.

As for the Isiah/Jordan comparison i was just making a general comparison it isn't exactly apples to apples as an executive Thomas' track record is horrible and Jordan's reord as a executive/owner is awful. Yet, Thomas gets heavily criticized and Jordan rarely does.

I think that's mainly because Isiah thought he was doing a good job. Jordan just doesn't give a ****. It's hard to criticize somebody who could not care less.

Not really seeing the humor in any of this. A blow like that to Harden could of caused serious injury. World Peace could feel Harden up on him and intentionally laid down that elbow. If World B. Artest was really sorry and didn't see Harden he would of went over to him right after it happened and offered some assistance or an apology of some sort. World has had a history of this type behavior I'd expect Stern to lay down a pretty hefty suspension. 10+ games at least and if I was stern I'd go $50,000-$100,000. A message needs to be sent. To bad they don't do in basketball like they do in baseball when a pitcher throws at a batter. At some point in time World B. Artest might hit the floor and not see it coming.

The NBA over expanded in the 90's it will never happen, but I wish the NBA would contract about 5 teams including Charlotte.

Tom Benson just spent $338 mil for the Hornets so you know as soon as Jordan gets a reasonable offer he is going to sell the Bobcats, probably within the next year or two. He just married a smokin hot Puerto Rican supermodel about 15 years younger than he is so he will need the caysh in about 5 years when she wants a divorce.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better about being a Laker fan.

It has nothing to do with being a Lakers fan, which I am. It's called watching the NBA, knowing what a guy like Harden has done before, and making an honest assessment. It doesn't mean Metta shouldn't be punished. It doesn't excuse him from blame. It doesn't change the fact he threw an elbow. I am simply pointing out that James Harden could have easily stayed away from MWP.

I am simply pointing out that Ron Ron could have not raised his elbow and followed thru.

Much easier to just not throw the elbow than to "stay away" from somebody in anticipation that said crazy person might do something incredibly stupid like throw an elbow.

Absolutely wrong. That is what I thought when I first watched teh replay, and I really wanted to believe it, because I am usually in favor of watching teh mentally ill play sports, but Harden did not instigate this.

Harden was trailing teh play, took one step forward after teh dunk (He was teh closest Thunder player to teh inbounding ball), Artest ran straight into him, without looking, and swung, again without looking. The only think Harden should have done differently to avoid a head injury is to strap on a helmet, otherwise it is 100% Artest being a psycho.

Never give teh psycho teh benefit of teh doubt.

Ghost nails it.
