Let me summarize:
Phil Parker has been very involved in our defense the last 12 years.
Iowa's defense has been the rock around which the success of the last 12 years has been built upon.
Therefore, Phil Parker would not be a good choice to replace Norm?
As Jon's exhaustive analysis recently highlighted, it is the Iowa offense that has been the true determinant of success or failure for Iowa football over the last 12 years, generally. Now,this year,we all know the defense was down. And next year,it does not look very promising. So, are we expecting an outsider to come in and save the day next year?
I am fine with Phil Parker,or Tom Bradley....I trust KF. The gnashing of teeth and rendering of garments that will inevitably follow the decision will be good for at least a couple of weeks of angst in the offseason. Enjoy.
