Rogers on the goal line...

Could some of our issues inside the 5/10 yard line be alleviated by having a 235lb pound back like Rogers in those situations rather than a 190lb back like Bullock? I'd like to see us go double tight and have Rogers in a single back set and give that a try. Gotta be better than what we've tried so far....

Thought I saw Weisman and Rogers in on one play in Chicago w/ Rogers leading the way. IIRC Weisman got 4 or 5 yards. I also thought Rogers was calling the signals on punts.

Seems like we have plenty of TEs. How about a single wideout, two TEs, Rogers @ FB and Wiesman as TB? That's a Power Package that still has pass possibilities. Run play action. Simple, easy, very KFish

I like the idea, but with Rogers & Wiesman flipped. I think Rogers has a lot of upside still at RB. Don't understand the fall down the Depth when he had 50+ yds vs Michigan a not too long ago!

That close to the goal line I always like the fake handoff QB roll out with option to run, pass, or throw it away where no one can get it.

Give to the big full-back and let him fall forward for a yard each time. Move the pile. Don't understand why we did not try that.

This would have been one of the perfect first and goal plays right before end of first qtr. Another play that they would not have expected is go empty backfield, with 5 wideouts in spread, if they dont cover the spread throw it, if they do cover the spread run qb draw/run

I agree with most of what has been said in this thread. They have to try something different in the red zone. PA on 1st down, run the fullback, throw to CJF, something, anything. Its certainly been abismal production thus far. Although Meyer looks comfortable kicking, so that's good.

Rogers has been battling injuries since fall camp. Coach Ferentz mentioned he was close to 100% heading into last weeks game but I have my doubts.
A healthy Rogers would definitely improve the Hawks running game.

I think Weisman or Nate Meijer on the goal line

We need someone who can generate a couple yards even when there is no hole

First and goal from the 3 and no TD...........CMON MAN!!!
