Nebraska fans like to pretend to be a tier above Iowa so they act insulted when people call it a rivalry. For a lot of them it's not an act. Even though, as you said, we have many more BCS bowls, conference titles and top ten finishes over the past 15 years. Nebraska has none of these, zero.

It's all smoke and mirrors with them. For the life of me I don't know why a 4star from California would want to go to Lincoln. Actually I do know why and it's not tradition. btw, it's got to be downright humiliating for them to lose 40-10 in front of a captive national audience. They view that game as a big advertisement for Nebraska football.

They pretend to be a tier above any school not named USC or 'bama. One of the highlights of my Saturday night is scanning the weekly death vigil at any Debbie board of choice.

Neat they gave their coach an extra year on his contract they will have to pay once they fire him mid season. If the guy wasn't making millions I'd feel bad for him being the scapegoat of a fan-base too delusional to realize talented football players don't want to go to live in Nebraska.

They do actually get talented players there, but Mike Smiley is soft and his staff is bad at player development. Strength coach is sub-par too. All their linemen look fat.

Nebraska fan got an entire humble pie crammed down their throat today and I am loving it.
