Reality check

Iowa fans don't play the games.

The players and the coaches need to stay focused on the tasks at hand, not the fans.

Not a defender of everything KF, but he does a pretty good job of that. Seems like a statement you really didn't need to make, but maybe you do I guess.

Can you remember the last time Iowa went out and won back to back road games in such dominating fashion? Can you remember the last time we played Indiana and handed them their asses in the way it occurred yesterday? I know that we have tougher games ahead, I understand that Minny and Indy are not great teams, but we got up early, we made mistakes to allow them back in the games, and then stepped on the gas pedal and crushed them! A killer instinct that has been lacking for the most part in seasons past. It was a damn good game yesterday, and I fully intend to enjoy it until at least Thursday night, when I start freaking out about Maryland's speed and.......nope, not until Thursday. Go Hawks!!

I agree. I'm saying that's the job of the team, not the fans.

Iowa State is better than Wisconsin.

Not going that far. Better than Minnesota and Indiana? Absolutely. They can't beat Wisconsin with a good Hornibrook, maybe not even a mediocre Hornibrook. Let's not get caught up in the moment here.

This was a nice win but I don't get the over the top fawning over this team. We lost our only big opponent game. Much remains to be seen against good competition.

We beat Iowa State who appears to be a pretty good team again this season. Unlike past years we haven't been taking it down to the wire against inferior teams. We've rolled NIU, UNI, Minny and Indy as we should have.

#6 West Virginia has been blowing teams up .... until Iowa State. Wisconsin is hardly a bridge too far.

We may not play but our routines and clothing choice on Saturdays have a direct impact. I’ll make sure to wear the same underwear the next 6 Saturdays. You’re welcome.

But wash them please for the sake of those around you or do you drink and watch the hawks alone all the time? :D

Iowa's physicality wore Iowa St. out. Campbell's dynamic playcalling goes out the window when it is not a game of pitch and catch. Wisconsin wins every time if Hornibrook doesn't melt down(which is a big if). ISU and Campbell are a nice story, but people need to relax, acting as if ISU could come over and just win the B1G West I don't care how weak it is.

They hadn't played anyone worth a crap until ISU though. They still have to play Oklahoma, TCU and Texas.

But TCU isnt looking very good right now. ISU's wins in the Big 12 over OKie st and a close loss to TCU are not looking all that big right now

The fact is, though Iowa State beat a high ranked opponent, they still have a middling record. Wisconsin is proving to be just above average (BYU loss and Michigan blowout). I like Iowa's high RPM offense against middling opponents, but we still have much to prove before I jump on the "going gaga" train.
