Re-do one play in Iowa FB history

One more play in that game...who was their qb...tolzein? Anyway he made a clutch throw and montee ball made a clutch catch in traffic on 4th down shortly after that fake punt.

And what if jj watt doesn't get his big paw on Stanzi's late in the game.

I just remember the stadium being stunned and almost frozen 30 min after game.

Didn't they complete a pass as the qb was getting sacked on 3rd down to make that fake punt even possible? It would have been 4th and really long if his knee hits the ground before he throws the ball.

1991 fake punt versus Michigan. Hawks ended up winning. Rematch with Washington in '92 Rose Bowl for National Championship.

And we gave up a blocked punt for a TD. Not to mention almost 400 yds rushing. We needed more than one play in that one.

ISU 2002. I agree. Any play that could have changed that outcome to a win. Undefeated Iowa would have been #2. tOSU was squeaking by everyone and we were blowing out everyone.

2010 OSU "flyover" game for me. I don't get back for many games, so seeing us beat OSU would have been a major bonus. Up 17-13 with the game winding down, we had them 4th and 10. Stop them and we most likely win. Damned if Terrelle Pryor didn't run it for 14 and a first down! OSU scored a TD and we lose 20-17.

Damn you Terrelle Pryor!

After reading through this thread...I wonder if Iowa's in-game coaching is a bit suspect?...historically...

I've often wondered if Iowa plays more close games than anone else in the power 5 conf. We certainly could have another thread about some of our best plays in games to equal the bad losses out.

Against mid level and good Big Teams? No. Against mediocre teams and lesser teams...yes and therein is the problem.

That 1991 is the forgotten year. That was a damned fine ball club. Very solid.

UM really shredded Iowa on the ground that day. Iowa tied BYU in the bowl game.
