One thing I do know about the Kraft audio...
I've been in meetings with that sort of shit-hitting-the-fan importance before. Obviously not a college AD talking to players, but serious come to Jesus meetings with stuff on the line.
Those meetings are done with the understanding that the stuff said in them is sacred so to speak, and it's intended to be with everyone's trust in the room.
That leak was done with one purpose and that was to undermine and indict Pat Kraft. Someone (or multiple someones) hates his guts and wants him gone, like Bo Pelini's leaked tape. I'd bet money that Pat Kraft isn't going to let some mid level GA or staffer or anyone like that in the room. Regardless of whether he stays or not after this, there are moles in the program that are going to make things impossible for him.
My guess is that recording was done by a player who didn't like Franklin getting fired and wants Smith as the new head coach. Also guessing all of you heard the "We Want Smith" chants after his first win and the signs all the players were holding in front of the cameras that said "Hire This Man."

If I was one of these coaches I would DEMAND a '70 DeVille convertible with gigantic horns, with no less than 25 lbs of studded diamonds on every surface that's not painted. I want the receipt that shows it's 25 lbs, too.
And yes, minus the diamonds that's Boss Hogg's car. Make it happen or I ain't signing.
Honestly, what would that cost the school, $200K? Child's play.
