Figured I'd try to balance the scales around tin hat nation.

There's a reason DJT is trying to distance himself from '25. It's batshit crazy, and he knows he risks putting off what's left of the moderates in his party.

It's extreme shit like '25 that put our democracy in danger. And there are extremists in both parties that compromise it. Country needs a reset but it make take civil unrest to get there.

In short, 25 is a disaster for the middle class, what is left of it. If there is an armed revolution in the US, it won’t come from the right Or the left. It will come from those who are increasingly left behind. Trump has convinced the MAGA they are the left behind. But his actions pay them no real mind. Hopefully they will figure that out soon. This is not in reality a nation divided left and right. It is divided the Oligarchs vs the rest of us.

I may not have this all right. But I will tell you that I did not just fall off of the turnip truck.

Holy shit huck and I agree on something. It's not left and right. It's bought politicians vs hopefully some not bought ones. We just disagree on who's bought.
 
All politicians are bought by lobbyists and special interests. It's a big reason why despite children being blown to pieces in schools you can still buy assault rifles with ease in this country.

The NRA could admit that the public's desire to be able to purchase assault rifles with ease is not good overall. Instead, they dig in and throw more money at keeping them available. It's despicable.

Thats why we need someone who's already wealthy who can't be bought. I used to hope Trump was that guy. Then I assumed he wasn't with how he handled covid and racked up more debt. But now as hard as they are trying to keep him out, I'm thinking maybe he is that guy again. I'm not sure how a guy like Rob can concede that politicians are bought but is too blind to ask why people are trying so hard to keep Trump out. If they could buy him, they would welcome him back in with open arms wouldn't they? Unless of course the people who buy off politicians and allow kids to get shot up at schools are too morally sound to allow Trump to have sex with a porn star and tell banks his properties are worth more than they really are. That's just too horrible for them to allow

Making alcohol and drugs illegal hasn't worked for shit. But I'm sure it would work with guns. If they do get rid of guns finally, I hope you're ready for knives, bombs and vehicles.

You may not consider all of this "good shit" but they aren't all bad:


Expand civil rights act to protect different professions such as police and military

Identifies china as a leading threat to national security

Pornography should be monitored to try to limit access to children

Punishing local governments for failing to abide by federal immigration laws, for example, refusing to provide information with law enforcement.

Expanding states rights as it applies to healthcare

Ends government intervention as it applies to racial parity for discipline indicators in schools

Allow states' DOE's to opt out of federal programs and/or standards

Expand hate speech to include anti-religion speech

There are other things in it that I agree with but may be 50-50/60-40 agree/disagree for others.

People can have guns. I've hunted and shot cans and bottles off of fence posts. Public citizens do not need freaking assault weapons. They're made for war. And, apparently in this country, wiping out schools children in seconds.
