Preview/Prediction – Iowa vs. UNI



Tonight is going to be in the 50s like you said, but I could see Friday night being in the 80s. Iowa-ISU should be a fun game to watch
 


You going to be doing twitter updates? I'll be at work. There's a TV there but it's not too big and I'm usually swamped from 7-9
 


I will be floored if this game is in the 50's. IMO if this game is in the 50's Iowa doesn't win. That means UNI is dictating the play. This isn't IMO a UNI team that will dictate pace in Carver. Just not buying the 50's talk.

As we've seen longer possessions lead to fewer possessions throughout the game. There are going to be fewer possessions in this game than any game we've seen this year. Iowa will have to be efficient in those possessions which will be tough because UNI plays some tough defense and will create turnovers. Unless one of the teams comes out really flat neither team will score in the 70s. I have UNI winning this one though 55 - 50 in a dogfight.

Many of you are still memorized by the UNI of last season. This is not that team and not even close. I understand the fewer possessions lead to fewer points. Iowa will lose if UNI is controlling tempo..
 


Nah... May will explode on his Iowa brothers. Gatens finally finds his shot, and Marble says "remember the name?"

UNI 62-55. Iowa has to shoot better in all three areas, 2's, 3's, FT's. I hope I am wrong, but improvement will take time.
 






Very interesting first half... Looks like Lickliter is back. If Iowa can't get this offense going... they are going to have to keep playing great defense. The defense was playing great until Brommer came in and brought bad mojo.

There is a big difference between the Lickliter offense and not knocking down shots. Dont confuse the two
