Possible Grad Transfer target (DL)

Mike Danna DL from Central Michigan. His most recent follower on Twitter is Tyler Barnes. Looks like a speed rusher.
Be a great addition for outside depth, and for the Nascar look of 4 DEs. Probably to small to flex inside for run downs though.

If he wants to be an every down starter, not sure how good of a chance he has here, considering we're pretty much set with AJ and Golston as the 1s outside, but if he wants to fill a Hesse-type role, I think he'd be a perfect fit.

Did PJ Fleck come from Central or Western Michigan? I was just wondering if there were any ties to Fleck?

Coluzzi came from a directional Michigan school and that worked out pretty well.

I think Chauncey can flex inside on certain situations and we like to rotate plenty of guys. So you’re correct he probably won’t be listed as a “starter” but could see plenty of reps.

With the production he had he’s going to get a ton of interest so this is probably a longshot, but this would be a major add and give us 5 proven options on the Dline.

The Ferentz tie is interesting and this kid is from Detroit so it’s possible he knows of Chauncey and Cedric who are current Detroiters on the Dline. With AJE on the other side you wouldn’t see many double teams which would be a selling point for a pass rusher.

I think Danna probably wanted to start right away and I’m not sure he’d start over Golston

I think the staff preffered a 2 year guy anyway which is why the DE transfer we landed made more sense.
