I think it's definitely more than ten. It's not unusual for people to just read and not comment. I remember seeing that over fifty people have opened and looked at some of the links I have shared.
We will see what happens once the season starts up. I think this upcoming season is going to be really important for Iowa fans as far as following the football program. If we have a 7-5 season, or even an 8-4 season I think fans interest will really start to wane on Hawkeye Nation after this year.
I mean what QB do we have coming in next season that will get fans excited going forward. Right now, there is a lot of hope that the offense will really step up this season and that the defense will be just as good if not better than what we have seen in the last five or so years.
The offense really hurt this program and it's really amazing how much better it was last year compared to the previous three years before Lester got here. It takes time for players to really understand offensive schemes and instill them into their natural abilities.
It is vital for Lester to show he can be successful moving forward. The last thing that needs to happen is for Lester to just produce a slightly better offense in year two. It is especially vital regarding recruiting.
Let's be honest about basketball also. Talk is cheap and it is vital for Ben to show he can compete at a higher level than Fran did. That's what fans want and expect. If both programs really struggle this upcoming season fans will turn to tailgating as their main attraction in the fall and will not be attending the basketball games.
I don't expect that to happen. I really think both programs will do very well and get the ball rolling and moving forward.

I am surprised more people haven’t come back since rivals changed their name and became pay only. I think we will see more and more people posting comments when the season begins.

I was checking out other forums and the only non-pay one I found with a lot of interaction was Hawkeye Lounge. But if you're new and post they will harass you like crazy. A bunch of assholes over there.

I like to think of it as a comfortable dive bar, so ratty and worn that it's now considered vintage. And where I feel like one of the younger guys since I am still in my 40s. Or at least not like the old guy.
Walk in and it's fairly empty, a couple folks on stools, bartender looks up briefly and gives you a half smile. One guy is sitting by himself at a high top in the corner, reading a hard copy newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee.
A couple Hamm's beer signs are up behind the bar, the types with the shimmering water and canoes.
It's the type of bar where you could order a Miller Lite or a local craft brew, and nobody would really think about it one way or the other.
Conversation breaks out slowly but easily. Could be sports, could be politics. Thoughts are somewhat measured, with an interest in what the person has to say about it too.
Damn, maybe this place is ok!
