Portal needs

It feels like we are missing some portal transfer opportunities as we wait out the new OC hire and learn who may or may not be returning. This team has some real needs on offense at almost every position, and yet we seem to have no activity in the portal at this point to fill those needs.

It feels like we are missing some portal transfer opportunities as we wait out the new OC hire and learn who may or may not be returning. This team has some real needs on offense at almost every position, and yet we seem to have no activity in the portal at all at this point to fill those needs.

Yeah it's a two pronged thing. Iowa doesn't really have any schollys open atm. Especially with Dejong coming back. I think Iowa's currently over the 85 number with incoming freshman. So until some guys start announcing for sure what they are doing like Cooper, Lachey Higgins etc. There's more then a handful of them that have decisions to make (not counting guys who might just transfer out still) So due to that alone I can't see Iowa chasing after any transfers to come in.

Factor in that we still don't have an OC so for that side of the ball that's even more problematic. Tough sell to someone to try and get them to come anyway till they have something to sell.
