Wrong, wrong, and meh...
I hope you're right. I, by nature of location, know nebby football pretty well. I hope they lose every game, and continue to struggle for years.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base!Just read Nebraska is on an 8 game losing streak which is apparently the longest streak in school history. The previous mark was 7 in 1957 and a year in the 1940’s. Notice how when Nebraska sucks it’s good for Iowa. Nebraska wasn’t good in the 50’s.

Yes, and yes. I would also venture to say that any out of state player who chooses to play in Lincoln Nebraska is probably not too bright.Pretty amazing that nebby seems to get higher ranked kids than Iowa most years but can't seem to put a winning team together. Is it because the kids they recruit are selfish or spoiled and not team players?
I know I promised all of you I’d stay away until November and I’ll still honor that, but I wanted you all to know that Nebraska has lost its last 8 games in a row which is the longest streak in the program’s history.
This is officially the shittiest “product” they’ve ever put on a field and wasted TV airwaves on.
Sorry @74Hunter , I had to evaluate where Nebraska is as a program.
I’m sure Ginger Baby Jesus will have you guys undefeated in no time like he did down in Flo’ Rida. Peace be with you.
Yet. There's a lot of pressure in fusker land to produce and produce fast! I think that fan base could get anybody to crack. Mild mannered Frosty could get heated up.True, but I think we all recognize that Frost will turn this around. He is dealing with leftover kids, maybe some upper classmen that don't care or don't fit his preferred scheme. He may not get them any better than Pelini but at least he doesn't seem to have the weekly sideline blow ups.
I would posit that WWII era games DO NOT COUNT. Yeah, I know WWII technically ended on the Missourrah (an IOWA class battleship) on September 2, 1945, but the greatest heroes on whose shoulders we all stand were not here playing college football in the 1945 season. Between the draft, the rations that limited travel and the various military training facilities set up around the country (like the original Seahawks, e.g., Iowa Pre-Flight), the college football landscape in the War years was totally meaningless. Thus, this season is actually Nebraska's worst ever.Ok, so Nebraska started the 1945 season 0-5. I think they definitely lose their next 2 games, so this season should go down as their worst ever.

I pray to God that Ferentz squared and company realize that we may have to score some points that day, get into a shootout with them similar to last year's ISU game. And I know that's not their MO. But Nebby is going to go no huddle uptempo, lengthen the game, speed you up. Their defense is a sieve. Make sure we keep it that way. We had better put our playmakers in position to make plays. None of this close to the vest crap. If they made us on of their first victims this year their fans could destroy this forum.Nebby can score points. And that will win them a few this year. Iowa had better play well on Black Friday.

I shouldn't even be typing this, but that is the type of game we occasionally lose. That team shouldn't able to hang on the same field with us. Stomp them!
Absolutely. Talent-wise, Iowa should be a double digit favorite on paper in every one of those games. Problem is, Purdue and Northwestern have stellar coaching staffs that give them a decided strategic advantage. I think we go 8-4.Is Iowa good enough to beat the teams listed above?

Nebby's defense has been poor for years. Cant tackle, cant stand up the opponents offensive line. Cant cover that well.
Wisky could double them up this year in scoring something like 42-21. Wisky has a decent enough defense like many Big 10 teams, Purdue was holding Nebby pretty well there until the fourth quarter when they looked tired.
Not sure who else Nebby plays from the East Division but Nebby cant stop the run or pass.
If the hawks get the ground game going they can do about whatever they want to on Black Friday and I think our defense can stop enough of their drives. But that is a long ways away
Fun fact...the surrender was supposed to be signed on the USS Iowa, it being Roosevelt's favorite ship. It was the only battleship with a bathtub, installed just for Roosevelt. But since FDR died, and Truman was from Missouri, Truman changed it up.I would posit that WWII era games DO NOT COUNT.
