After covering Iowa football for 20+ years under Kirk Ferentz, how would you describe to the outsider what Iowa is looking for in its starting quarterback? They've had success with Banks, Chandler, Tate, Stanzi, Beathard and Stanley, some with some similarities, but as a collection, they are vastly different in style. Who will Petras most resemble?
Compare the presentations of Barta/Ferentz to those of Pollard/Campbell and Harris/Farley with regard to plans for playing football in the Fall. None of them seem to be relying on talking points from the regents, except to say that none of us really know for sure what is going to happen.

Maybe this is a question you can answer better in a future podcast as I know the mind probably isn't on baseball. But what impact do you think MLB's decision to shorten the draft to 5 rounds will have, if any, on the Iowa baseball program? I believe the NCAA is giving seniors an extra year of eligibility but with only 12 scholarships I'm wondering if anyone would pay their own way for an extra year of baseball eligibility. With the recruits coming in, more juniors & seniors sticking around will it create a logjam for playing time?

Rob, was listening in my vehicle on the way home this afternoon and I noticed the audio level was way low. Had to crank the volume to max to be able to hear it.

I just listened and the levels seemed ok on my end. I have pretty basic recording equipment so it might take some volume adjustment if it seems low.

I'll keep an eye on the levels next week. Maybe I'll start drinking earlier in the day. I usually talk louder with some hooch in me.
