Being reported from multiple sources....
Thats a bold move Pinkel, lets see if it pays off....

Why the **** would I know the name of a football coach of a team we've played once in my lifetime. I also don't know who's coaching ASU, Syracuse, Western Michigan, Georgia Tech, Tennessee Tech, Pitt (other than dude pulled a hammy). Hell I couldn't give you the name of the HC of Indiana or Purdue either.

LOL, this is wild. I just left Columbia, was at the same restaurant. The bartender told me that "Coach Pnkel" was in the house. I left about 9:30 and drove down the same street...guess I missed all the action.

As a defense attorney in Columbia, I can say the law enforcement here tends to be over zealous, to put it lightly. I would not be surprised if this turns out to have been a borderline case. Either way, terrible PR

I too live in Columbia and this is just silly in my opinion. He did break the law and it is what it is however it seems as one of the posters already pointed out this was an over zealous sheriff deputy who easily could have told him to go home and end of story. He was with friends at a local restaurant (Chris McD's) and left after a couple drinks. I've seen him here at this place many times and he's never been intoxicated. Not smart on his part but I'm assuming he was far from drunk. It only takes a couple drinks anymore to be over the limit and he should have used better judgement.

It's already out he's not coaching this weekend and more than likely the season ending game too. He'll take his suspension and move on.

Just so there is no confusion, a couple of drinks will not get u a dui. For an averaged sized guy it takes four drinks to get to .08. The human body processes the equivalent of one drink per hour (equal to about .02). For him to blow over the limit he would had to have consumed at minimum four more drinks than the number of hours he had been drinking. That's hard to do on accident.

Too suggest he should have been allowed to drive home is ducking sociopathic.
