Petition to Return CHA Court to Gold?

Our gold court was stolen from us when the Iowa basketball identity was stripped from us in 1998. We're getting our identity back - now we need our court back.

Someone needs to start a petition - preferably someone in Iowa City. I can't abide another season with that awful black court. Who's with me?

I'm sorry but you are dead wrong on this. The black scheme the floor has now is kick A**. The gold was great too but its outdated. I love the black Tigerhawk on the floor.

'We're going to put a huge, ugly sticker on your basketball court, advertising ourselves, and not even show your games?' Mediacom wouldn't even agree to the BTNetwork for the longest time. So all in all, I kind of despise Mediacom, and the floor decals.

Last but not least, the midcourt logo sucks. In my mind, if I were to imagine the one half court logo that I would never want as an Iowa fan... It would be an oversized tigerhawk. It looks terrible. I love the courts with old fashioned half court logos, in other words: a small logo that fits inside the halfcourt circle. Not some stupid KU jayhawk measuring 50 ft wide. I would love to see a smaller logo, maybe the same tigerhawk, or a block I or something.

Black is Iowa's primary color the bball floor should match that. If we want to change something let's just make gold jerseys are regular home jerseys. I could get on board for that.

Are people seriously debating having the tigerhawk logo at midcourt? Yeah let's hide one of the coolest logos in college sports for an outline of the state....Great idea

Indiana and UNC have the their state outlines, cause nobody knows what the Hel1 a Hoosier or a Tar Heel looks like.
 
The floor right now (minus mediacom) is about as good as it gets. The black looks much much better than gold and the tiger hawk center court is perfect.

This is the look I wish we could go to (except change the B1G logos to gold):

Although, I do like the parquet look that we've had for decades. If we could keep that and still get this design, it would be awesome!

That's pretty F'n badass...I could go for that...especially if it looks ok with the parquet flooring.

Edit: The only thing I don't care for in that design is the different color of wood inside the 3pt line...keep it clean.
 
Not a fan of this design. Not going to paste because it's too big, but see above. I agree with Shane, keep it clean, simple is good.

Gets my vote as well. Black is the best color in sports for sleekness, and of course the intimidation factor. OK with whatever at mid court, tiger hawk, old flying herky, big I.

That's awful. The only good thing about it is that it's not parquet.
