I will agree with you. I was trying to make a point that the one day they were there they picked CJF out as having a huge development and would potentially be a star this year.

Agreed about Myers. PSU 2008. Twice on the fateful drive towards the FG, Myers caught a 3rd and 10 pass at about 7 yards and beat 3 defenders for the first down both times. That guy made plays.

Those two receptions are what cemented his legacy, IMO. He made many similar plays, but none in a situation with the same kind of pressure as that drive. Clutch player, keeps his mouth shut and busts his a**.

I understand the love for Moeaki, and believe me, I think he's a terrific player. But my favorite tight end under Ferentz is Myers. Almost criminally underrated.

Actually, you do. Any time you stretch out like that, you're using mainly your abs. Obviously he dove first, but to reach like that, you have to have strong abs. Just like planking or "Supermans", as we called them when I was in high school.

Chandler had a good game vs the Bears last saturday. Caught 3 or 4 passes in the half that he played. They will use him a lot in their system.
TonyMo,Dallas,Myers,Chandler,Reisner....who we missing? Erik Jensen still in the league? What about the big guy who was before Erik...I know he got drafted?

I think Hermann and CJ will get their chances in the league. The whole blocking deal is more important in the NFL than even in college,and as CJ indicated,it a is very technical learning experience for Iowa TE's. But they all come out being good at it.
Maybe that is why Ray Hamilton made such a wise decision and chose Iowa.
