Thanks for the post and update.

The question I have is has Jok showed any of that athletic first step he "lost" with his injury? explosive hops and finish to the basket yet? Seriously... anyone who actually has seen him play?

My second question is the rumors that he still may grow an inch or 2 and/or actually how long is he? (ie height measurement considering his neck/torso and wing span?)

If somehow both of these questions are answered in the affirmative... the sky's the limit... even without a great 4 year player for the Hawkeyes.

He is definitely 6'5" and probably a legit 6'6" in his sock feet. He may still have an inch or two to grow, but no more than that.

It is hard to tell on how explosive his first step is as he is double teamed (sometimes triple teamed) every time he touches the ball. He is much quicker off his feet for rebounds this year and is starting to show the desire to go aggressively to the rim when the opportunity is there.

I think the biggest hurdle remaining is confidence that the injury is behind him and he will not get hurt playing aggressively. I see that starting to change but still a ways to go.

The only "stats" I know of as a person is the guy that works for mike & mike in the morning...and why would we care if jok dates him...but more to the point when did they meet as "stats" probably lives in bristol, conn.

All seriousness...jok's first step looks good for hs but it isn't all the way back. That might be more mental than physical at this point as sometimes it comes down to you mentally trusting it.

I think jok will be the 3rd 2 guard next year and the 3rd 3. He has the length and can develop some strength to be solid at either spot and he definitely has the shot. It will be tough to take min away from gesell offensively and ogelsby is still a sniper and very good defender at the 2. Marble and uthoff will have the 3 spot locked down which will make time difficult for jok to grab. I would love for him to get about 8 min a game and learn for a season as he gets more comfortable with his knee.

Thanks for your observations. Really good point about doubles and triples and the confidence factor.

Herby is a specialist. No matter what you say he sticks to his numbers. You can't stop him, only contain him.
