I thought I read in the article about Gibson that his max distance away from home he would go is 500 miles and Iowa is in that range somewhere.(Meaning USC would be out)

Fuller's greatness seems to have really grown since leaving.
He would have started and made Iowa a better team last year, but he wasn't the difference between a losing season and a winning season.

Yep. USC is not in the mix for Gibson.

How do we know exactly that Olaseni has no desire to be a Hawk? Has he said it? Is he giving the coaches the runaround? Or is he just taking his time? If I remember correctly, he loved his Iowa visit and that may be the reason Katenda visited as well. Below is from a blog and quotes from Gabe's coach from today:
Sunrise Christian Academy coach Kyle Linstead is hearing lots of talk about forward Gabe Olaseni choosing Wichita State. He is ready to put those rumors to rest.
Olaseni (6-foot-9) and teammate Eric Katenda (6-8) have a news conference scheduled tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. WSU is not on Olaseni’s list of possible destinations, Linstead said.
Wake Forest, Iowa, Notre Dame, Auburn and Mississippi are among the schools involved with those two, and most of them recruited them before they arrived in Wichita for this school year.
“Wichita State is not in the picture,†Linstead said. “He had a whole list of schools (when he arrived at Sunrise this year.) (He) was already being well recruited.â€
Linstead said he thinks the rumors got started because his players often play pickup basketball at WSU.
“Our kids are going up there because it’s good pickup,†he said.

So, if everything we have heard over the past several weeks is true, I think there is a good chance he may pick the Hawks. At one point it was down to OU and Iowa. OU did not offer. It appears WSU may have been the mystery visit and they are full. So, unless there was another mystery school, Iowa could be his choice??? Maybe Katenda and Olaseni are both going to pick Wake? Who knows???

Not sure who reported this, but I remember reading it as well. If Olaseni was talking to somebody covering OU at the time, I could see how he would make this comparison. Now, if he were to say that OU was leading even after an Iowa visit, then I might read something into it. I would not be shocked if the picks the Hawks today and I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't!

Iowa has been in on Olaseni for quite some time and per Olaseni, he has a great relationsihp with Andrew Francis. I suppose it is hard for biased fans of any school to understand why a recruit doesn't want to sign after experiencing the greatness that is _______ basketball. For most kids there isn't a strong feel one way or another, so they want to be treated like rockstars as long as possible and entertain all suitors. I found it strange that Olaseni took a visit to OU and WSU when neither had scholarships available, but maybe he was a fallback for them or a leveraging ploy?
Unless they have brokered some deal to go to Wake, I agree with others that Katenda to ND and Olaseni to Iowa. I don't believe Wake has shown interest in Olaseni.

With the whole mystery school deal. Makes me wonder if either WF or ND offered Olaseni just to secure Katenda. That is why they were holding out and wanting to announce same day because they are going to same school. Also would be reason why "mystery school" is not being revealed so it is big suprise..
