Pelini says in post game interview that flag on him was chicken s$$t

They tide is pretty strongly against him on the Husker boards. Here's his halftime beauty.

The only "chicken S$$t" is Bo Pelini. He's acted like that since the day he was hired. I was shocked he wasn't fired after his meltdown against Texas in the Big12 title game.

He dropped an ungodly number of F-Bombs on the sideline today, and then treated the sideline reporter like crap at half-time.

Maybe KFer deserved a flag. KFer was yelling an obscenity or two in the fourth quarter. But he didn't get the flag. Maybe, just maybe, refs are sick of Bo. Maybe, just maybe, KF knows how far to push.

And maybe it's time for Bo to go coach some place else, like the California Penal League.

Does that mean he'll be in the next remake of "The Longest Yard"? ;)

If he was a couple inches closer with that hat he would be gone by the end of the weekend. Probably gone anyways.

I'm not convinced he's going anywhere... that's a pretty steep buyout on top
of what they'd have to spend to get a coach and staff on the level that the Nebraska
program demands and deserves.

It's easy and fun to pile on Bo... he seems to like painting targets on himself... but I
agree with him 100% on the bozo half time reporter question... it was stupid.

I've got Nebraska fans on my facebook, small sample, but they keep posting how much they love him and want him to stay even though he hates the fans. :D

Such a huge risk for an AD to fire him. He's won 9-10 games every year. Ticket sales are automatic so there is no financial upside. You take a big $7.6 million hit. Reinforces the whole Solich firing debacle which scared candidates away last time, which means likely a no name replacement which would put an AD on the hot seat. Any kind of a slide back to 6 or 7 wins would probably make the AD the one that would get the axe next.

Did the current AD hire Bo? Hard to argue with winning 9 games a season. But Bo is an @sshat. An embarrasment for a guy that is the ambassador of your university. I would take KF and his 4-8 season any day over Bo and his 9 win seasons. After that presser..I don't see anyway the Pellini is still their coach.

GREAT WIN TODAY. IT'S GREAT TO BE A HAWKEYE!!

Needs to keep his eyes open so he doesn't miss next time.

Not to defend, but what is he supposed to say there? It's the heat of the moment, he's just seen his team get badly outplayed for 30 minutes, and then the sideline reporter asks him a loaded question.

Bo has a point about the media making it hard on his team. They have done nothing but run coaches off at Nebraska ever since Osborne retired. They'll do the same thing to the next coach.

It's not just the media, it's the fans as well. They hold whomever has that job up to an impossible to achieve standard. It's going to take a generation or two for Nebraska fans to realize that Nebraska is just another middle-tier team in the B1G.

Sloth from the Goonies should have been tossed from the game, he smoked that side judge he payed off with his hat. Iowa, the nail in Bo's coffin...

Thanks for posting the halftime question. I couldn't hear it, just heard the "what kind of question is that" part. Funny all the way around because Nebby handed us that game with turnovers and Bo didn't like it.

Even without the turnovers, Iowa wins by 7. None of them were handed to Iowa either. It wasn't a case of what they did against Michigan State. Hitchens and Morris both baited Kellogg into those interceptions, and Hitch (or Kirksey), stood Abdullah up and ripped the ball out when Nebraska had a bit of momentum back.

That fumble wasn't ripped. It was due to the odd hit Abdullah got. Was a good hard hit, but nothing was ripped.

And I beg to differ, but without 3 TO's, Iowa losses this game. Nebby STILL beat us on overall yards gained.

But that's just nit picking. Sweet day in Iowa sports all around.

During the post-game presser he spoke and acted in every way like a coach who knows he's gone. It was one long excuse and finger-pointing session. I don't necessarily think that Bo has to apologize for 9-win seasons and wouldn't expect him to. But everything from "Ferentz was worse and didn't get flagged" to "you (the media) had a negative impact on our team this season"...it all seemed like a guy who just wanted to throw out a couple f-you's before being shown the door.

The stuff about the media was fair, IMO.
