Pelini says in post game interview that flag on him was chicken s$$t

That fumble wasn't ripped. It was due to the odd hit Abdullah got. Was a good hard hit, but nothing was ripped.

And I beg to differ, but without 3 TO's, Iowa losses this game. Nebby STILL beat us on overall yards gained.

But that's just nit picking. Sweet day in Iowa sports all around.

Rank conjecture. You can't find any nits smaller to pick than overall yards gained. Perhaps they had more yards gained because Iowa's drives were so much shorter due to the great defense they played all day.

It's not just the media, it's the fans as well. They hold whomever has that job up to an impossible to achieve standard. It's going to take a generation or two for Nebraska fans to realize that Nebraska is just another middle-tier team in the B1G.

The media in Nebraska ARE fans. There's an awful lot of "we" and "us" used in the press box. When you've got fans as your beat reporters, and they're completely unabashed in showing it, coaches will have problems. Especially with a fanbase like Nebraska's.

I couldn't believe how unprofessional much of the media were at the game today. I thought I pushed the envelope at times over the last two years, but I had nothing on what I saw today.

Not to defend, but what is he supposed to say there? It's the heat of the moment, he's just seen his team get badly outplayed for 30 minutes, and then the sideline reporter asks him a loaded question.

Reporters ask dumb question all the time. Regardless, Pellini has the responsibility to the University to represent them in a positive manner.

I'm not convinced he's going anywhere... that's a pretty steep buyout on top
of what they'd have to spend to get a coach and staff on the level that the Nebraska
program demands and deserves.

It's easy and fun to pile on Bo... he seems to like painting targets on himself... but I
agree with him 100% on the bozo half time reporter question... it was stupid.

Iowa fans SHOULD HOPE HE STAYS. What if Nebraska hires a good coach? I would just as soon they keep this clown. He is good for at least a couple good "belly laughs" every game.

wow. Blaming a bunch of beat reporters, making peanuts, for their unprofessionalism? The guys doing the game on ABC were MORE THAN FAIR, much more than the clown deserved.
Pellini is a compete *** and is out of control. How he was ever allowed to stand on the sideline again after the audio tape surfaced is beyond me, although I am glad he was for Iowa's sake. There is not an ounce of professionalism in Pellini and yet you call out a bunch of newspaper reporters??

He is an azzhat thats been pushing it for years. Last week he had his finger up in the refs face. I decided then he is a poker and i frigging hate pokers.

Needs to keep his eyes open so he doesn't miss next time.

Looks like me and my brother fighting...when we were 5...(Bo of course is playing the part of my brother)

You're going to lose the yardage battle when you're always starting near the 50...

He's right about their reporters and other than "his comments were fair" and "coaches will have problems" he didn't say anything that remotely sounds like he has Pelini's back.

Even without the turnovers, Iowa wins by 7. None of them were handed to Iowa either. It wasn't a case of what they did against Michigan State. Hitchens and Morris both baited Kellogg into those interceptions, and Hitch (or Kirksey), stood Abdullah up and ripped the ball out when Nebraska had a bit of momentum back.
Not one of those turn overs was a fluke. Great pass defense on the two interceptions and a great hit on the Abdulla fumble. This game was a serious *** kicking. Iowa physically dominated this game and it was fun as hell to watch.

I never said Pelini was professional. But the media can create enough problems for a coach when they're being objective. But when they're all Nebraska fans, and therefore hold coaches to the same insane standard that the drunken idiot in the stands does? It doesn't excuse his actions, but I can definitely see where he's coming from with his comments on the local media.

After observing his behavior for the past few seasons, I am surprised and impressed that he (Pellini) can read. This man comes across as a total buffoon.

Exactly... All he has to say is something as simple as we need to take care of the ball better and were done and moving on.

They outgained Iowa by 7 yards. If Rudock just keeps in and runs for the first down on Iowa's first possession, they don't even have that to point to.
